Midnight Mass: The Art of Horror

I was looking for the DVD of Midnight Mass as a gift. I am not a netflix member so I am not sure if their movies ever come out on DVD but when I saw this I thought I was in luck. No this is not a DVD but it s a book all about the fikm, so I was actually going to return it but I told my Sister that I couldn't get the DVD for her birthday but I did get a lovely book and she said she said she is happy to have it and is enjoying it so there you have it. All is well in the end.

Perfect gift for those who are afraid of the dark

If you're a huge fan of Midnight Mass, you will love this book. It's filled with so many details about the process that went into filming. There's a character breakdown for everyone, with quotes from the actors as well. There's detailed concept art for many of the locations and even a breakdown of the color palette we see in the show. You will look at Midnight Mass from an entirely new perspective when you read this book. The stills and the behind the scenes images are high quality. And take note, the pages are really thick! This is a very good quality book that will last for years. If you were thinking about buying this, I highly recommend it.

I loved this book from start to finish. Plus, it has so much information on how this series was filmed during the plandemic. I have taken it to a Con recently and had Henry Thomas and Alex Essoe autograph it personally. I recommend anyone who buys it take it and have it autographed. The book will mean so much more.

Midnight Mass: The Art of Horror brings Midnight Mass to life in a way that invites the reader’s imagination back to the spellbinding world of Mike Flanagan’s brilliant show. Abbie Bernstein brings journalistic integrity to presenting information received from interviewing the cast and crew.I loved reading the insights the actors shared about brining their roles to life. This brought another layer of understanding to the show. The wonderful sense of humor that some of the actors have, particularly Kate Siegel and Rahul Kohli was brought to life in the essays. One of the examples of what made me laugh was Rahul calling a monologue in Midnight Mass a “Flanalogue."The photography in this book is GORGEOUS, bringing attention to the intricate details of the set and make up for this Netflix production.Anyone who was mesmerized by Midnight Mass will want to take a look at this book and Mike Flanagan fans will want to add this to their collection. The size of this book makes for a perfect coffee table book or gift book.I savored this book within a day, but with the short topical essays and the beautiful photography I know that I will visit it periodically. Now that I have read this book, I am eager to rewatch Midnight Mass after the holiday season!
