It really stays cold!
I bought this thermos about 7 months ago for my husband . He was in the habit of taking two smaller 16 oz steel water bottles with him to work and to his workouts. We've both been using steel water bottles for a few years now, and learned early that 1. some companies advertise "No BHP",but have another plastic coating instead .(sigh). 2, the opening needs to be wide enough to accept both ice cubes and a dish brush to clean the inside. 3.It shouldn't leak when it's on its side. This bottle meets all our specifications, plus ! The 2 big pluses are that it stays cold , and it doesn't sweat . Ice has remained unmelted in it for more than 24 hours , and there is no annoying condensation on the exterior. Oh and the third one: The larger size capacity. Now he carries one bottle instead of two. He removed the interior straw , as it seemed to him like something that would be hard to clean .What made me think of all this, and decide to review it now is that I actually was washing the thermos, and thinking about how nice it is & how easy to clean. I use a tiny bottle brush to clean the lucite spout .(-it's called a Perfect Little Brush, from a company called Droll Yankees . They recommend the brush for cleaning sippy cup spouts &the openings on hummingbird feeders. I can't tell you how handy this has turned out to be) Anyway I was cleaning the spout with my little brush and thinking about how functional it is that the spout is transparent : I actually can see when it's clean. If it wasn't transparent, I could clean it all I wanted but never really feel certain. The thermos gets almost daily use and is still in new-seemingcondition. I don't really know how much more one can ask of a water bottle ....(and,no, I don't want a bottle that can monitor my hydration & report back to the mothership,or whoever it is that our appliances report to these days.) This is a nice bottle that has been thoughtfully engineered.

Best water bottle I've ever had
I read an article on a web site that discussed the most hygenic water bottles. Basically, the author recommended a stainless steel bottle with straw. His arguments seemed logical and I went looking on Amazon and found the TEMP SAVER vacuum bottles from Premium Engineered Solutions. I purchased the 18oz and 34oz models. These bottles are terrific. They have a pleasing shape that fit the hand nicely and they keep liquids cold. I take the 34oz to work with me and put ice and water in it before I leave the house. There is still ice in the bottle into the late afternoon even after refilling during the day. I haven't seen any signs of leaking. I put water in both bottles, turned them upside down, and shook vigorously. No leakage. The 34oz has a base with 3.35" diameter which is too big for the cupholder in my Forrester but I probably wouldn't want it there on a long trip anyway. The 18oz fits fine. The company's customer service is excellent. The 18oz came with the tab for pulling out the straw broken off. I sent them an email, heard back within 10 minutes. They confirmed my address and dispatched a replacement cap the next day.I plan to purchase another 18oz bottle for my backpack and for trips.UPDATES:I've been using my bottle every day and have found that there is still ice (ok just a small piece but still) after 24 hrs even after refilling it once.My wife has claimed the 18oz bottle so I have to buy one for me.Neither of us have seen any leakage from the 18oz or 34oz bottles.I received my new cap 2 days after reporting a problem. Outstanding customer service.

The ice doesn't last like people claim it does
The ice doesn't last like people claim it does. I left the bottle 3/4 full with water in the refrigerator overnight. Added ice this morning at 7am. Drove to work in an AC'd car and by 9 AM at the AC'd office a some, of the ice cubes had melted. I went and got ice from the cafeteria at about 11:30am and by 3pm there was no ice! Too bad because it is a huge bottle but this one is going back!8/4/16 update - I tried something different today. I added less water and more ice. The ice lasted longer. I need to drink a lot of water and I don't have easy access to ice and water during the day. If you then this bottle will work for you.

I'm in love! But...SCRATCHES!!!!!!
Okay, so this is only day two of using this, but I absolutely love it.What do I love about it?- The size. I know that as long as I drink two bottles full each day, that I've had a good supply of hydration. There's no constant refilling.- The skeekness. It's beautiful. I love how tall and slender it is.- Maintains coolness. Filled it up before bed. The next morning it was still cool.- The waist. It is a bit narrow in the mid-section which makes it easy to hold. What do I dislike about it? So far, nothing. I'm glad I had gotten one for my aunt also!UPDATE: I still love the capacity of the water bottle. I literally take it everywhere and, by midday, have completely depleted it. However, I've encountered a few disappointments.- The base is a little too wide to fit in my vehicle's cup holder, but I can live with that because it doesn't leak/spill. It just rides in the passenger seat.-My biggest disappointment is that this is day 3 and my bottle has several scratches. I take pride in taking care of things, but I made the mistake and put it standing in my purse. It came in contact with my keys, and now has several scratches. I hate looking at the scratches (yeah, go ahead and say it...a little OCD. I'll own that). It's driving me crazy, so I think I'll buy another and just use caution.Bottom Line: I still love it. I just wish it had better protective coating. If you're a workout nut who just tosses your water bottle about, go for something else. I
