Sony PSP 1000 Playstation Portable Core System (Renewed)

I had to return because it would not work, laser would not turn on. Returned and the second unit I got worked but made a loud sort of grinding, scraping, whirring sound when the disc is loading and during game play. I suspect the disc drive was failing. I understand this a used/refurbished unit and do not expect perfection but where is the quality control? They do look nice and are polished but what does that matter if they don't work? I ordered another from a different seller and it looks and works great.

Okay long story short the first psp I received has a messed up joystick, so I sent it back and they replaced the psp with a newer one. (Took about a week and half to get). The psp that I have now is very clean and looks brand new. Overall the experience was kinda annoying, but the product is great.

Ordered a PSP and got it within two days. The UMD reader didn't work, but that was the only problem with it. I returned it and got a new one, and this one is even better than the last! UMD reader works great and it came looking brand new.

The first thing I noticed was the battery cover was a bit loose. The console didn't come with a memory card (which really pissed me off), so I had to wait five days to be able to actually use the thing. After about a week the battery itself just completely died, and I had to wait five days for a new one. Everything was working great until my cat knocked it off my table, and now the PSPs memory card reader is broken.Whoever refurbished this thing did a really awful job, but when the PSP was actually working I enjoyed it a lot. It's very easy to software mod, and you can be able to play NES, SNES, PS1, and even N64 games within about ten minutes (though the N64 emulator gets a bit laggy when adding sound to the mix). A PSP for those reasons is definitely worth buying... Just not from this seller.

The system itself works as it should. The games read just fine. It's a little tough to get the UMD loader to close but the PSP 1000 is a very old system. I did have an issue with the battery. It simply wouldn't be detected. After going through some trouble procuring another battery it works like a charm. Please make sure ALL of the product works next time.

Disc tray didn't close. Useless.

I was a little nervous about the condition of a unit like this. I bought it to replace a PSP 1000 that I traded away about 3 years ago. The unit arrived yesterday and it is in pristine condition! Not a scratch or blemish on it! If I had been give this as a gift I would think that it was new. Very pleased with this unit.

Got it on time. Looks great, but charged it for a while and found when I removed it from the charger it wouldn't work. I will need to get a different battery for it. Other than that, works great.
