More than worth it...
This game has just about everything you could want. The only thing it lacks is more game to play. From the ability to rewind time and be in not just two but SIX places at once, to the brutal magical destruction, not forgetting the many different rifles, machine guns and various swords, this game is amazing. It is somewhat hack and slash, but the story is still great and the game play and array of techniques and combinations with equipment keep you enthralled. Definitely worth the buy.

rewind
This is a fun game; you play Alara a sword wielding warrior girl who goes through a portal looking for treasure and finds lots of trouble instead. your attacks are standard x button y button but the b button is a special attack that you earn as you go through the game. b + y,x,a each do a different power move; fire, ice and electric. but the most unique part of this game is your time rewind ability, by pushing the left button you rewind time making duplicates of yourself for a short period. This is crucial for many parts of the game. Good adventurous fun

It's OK..kinda
I own the original X-blades and had some fun with it and was very surprised to hear it was getting a sequel, so i had to buy it right away! While BOT is much better then it's predecessor it's still a pretty below average game. The game looks ok graphically in most parts, nothing really stands out, the music is forgettable, every character besides Ayumi is bland and boring(not to say Ayumi is much better but shes still better then the rest) and the story is just well....boring...I did somewhat enjoy the combat and liked how you could buy upgrades to your moves or new ones kinda customizing Ayumi to your liking. I also liked her character design but next time dont make her into a lara croft wannabe please. Anyway i did have some fun with it and would not mind a third game in the series but please listen to the complaints and make A X-blades game that can make Ayumi enjoy the greatness she deserves to have.

pretty good
I love how you can just rage on your enemies in this game. The story line is fun but i feel like it would be better suited for teens a great choice for getting girls nor into the rpg's. The grafics are very beautiful. All around fun game

So far I have played about 2 & 1/2 hours into this game and love it. The storyline is pretty basic you're a treasure hunter looking for riches and glory. It's got some pretty awesome weapon attacks and spells. You can really tear up your enemies with combos from both. It's mainly a hack and slash game so far with a little exploration and puzzle solving. I'm not sure if the world opens up to a more free roaming environment or it stays linear though. The game is challenging and fun. Aiming your rifle is tricky at first. The controls are touchy and at first it's a pain trying to get your aim. Boss fights have been interesting and fun so far as well. I'm looking forward to finishing this game. For under $8.00 this game was well worth it.

some of the puzzles are very annoying to complete
Fast paced action fighting sequences, but lack of diversity makes the combos get old quickly, some of the puzzles are very annoying to complete, a very short game, with very few items. More of an action adventure then an action rpg.

Oh no. Oh no. Just. Oh no...
I have a certain soft spot for the underdog game... The low budget. The under-the-radar. The unappreciated movie tie-in. Some of my best experiences come from games like that. I figured Blades would be the same. I was wrong. So totally and utterly wrong that I may have to rethink how I see the universe. GoW clones can be pretty good. But you have to get a few things right, the first of which is the good, meaty combat. Blades fails at this first step so hard that the main character clipped through the floor and fell through the map. The combat feels bad. Incredibly bad. There is no weight to it whatsoever. No connection between you and the character on-screen. She floats around as if she is on ice. Her blows land with all the impact of a blow-up hammer hitting a fluffy pillow. And the enemies swarm you like you have the world's best edible and they are the world's best sniffer dogs. Death comes quickly. Not because the game is hard, but because there is no feedback. None. Nothing at all. If I was deaf, dumb, and blind, this game would find a way to ensure that I got even less feedback from the world than I already did. The story is terrible. Some treasure hunter goes to another world and something happens. Exposition is thrown at you from the minute you arrive in the other world. The main character is as confused as you are. No one knows anything and we're all asking questions that will never be answered. All I could find out for sure is that the main character is dumb as a box of dead frogs and greedy to boot. Everything else is terrible too, from the audio mixing (which was obviously done by a guy who never heard of audio mixing or even audio before) to the bugs. Oh the bugs. Get stuck on scenery. Fall through solid surfaces. Walk through the scenery and fall to your death. Such fun. I wish I could like this game. I can't. I don't see how anyone can. Maybe if it was your first ever game. Or you had fond memories of it from your childhood. But otherwise. Avoid at all costs.

I just bought it cause the girl is hot.
I`ve already read the reviews and knew ahead of time that the gameplay is "okay". It's a decent game, but I mainly bought it for the graphics and the sexy girl! For a $15 game, i'll accept an "okay" game with sexy girls.
