This book is wonderful!
I am currently a student in a radiography program and I own the 12 edition of the Merrill's books. This book pairs perfectly with those books! I've been keeping this book on me this past week while I'm in clinicals. It is nice to refer to the images as well as the text (when it comes to angles and central rays) with all the exams. This book is a really great tool and my fellow classmates have decided to purchase it as well because it is so helpful! I highly recommend this to all students (and techs) because it is a great pocket reference when you aren't able to pull out the full volumes of Merrill's.

Super Helpful!
This pocket guide book is amazing! I wish I would have purchased it with the combo pack of the Merrill's Volumes 1-3 books. The only thing that would make this book even more helpful would be if it had an average technique used for the exam, but there is a space to fill in your own. Also, the tabs are not very durable at all but other than that the actual information on positioning and the images are extremely helpful in the clinical area.

... and a constant guide to assist in producing the best quality images in a safe and efficient manner
This was a valuable purchase and a constant guide to assist in producing the best quality images in a safe and efficient manner. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is the tabs are not as sturdy as I would have liked, they bend easily and do not hold up well to the daily use. However, this could also be due to the crappy packaging the item was shipped in. There was NO bubble wrap or any protective wrapping around the book, the envelope had some thin protective packing- not nearly enough for the rough mail delivery. However, despite the poor packaging, the book is very thorough and conscise, it covers pretty much all the major imaging positions a tech would encounter- a must have tool for any X-ray tech.

Essential for clinical!!!
As a current first year student of Radiographic Technology, I find this pocket guide essential. The first year is comprised of memorizing tons of concepts and positions so, as the year progresses, some of the positions discussed in the beginning get a little fuzzy. I know that there are iPhone and Android apps that serve a similar purpose, but most hospital environments frown on students glancing at their phones or iPods, as it is considered unprofessional. Plus, nothing beats a quick paper reference that you are able to jot down notes about technique (kVp, mAs, SID, etc). A perfect companion to Merrill's Atlas of Radiologic Anatomy.

Merrills Pocket Guide
If you are a student in radiology this guide is very useful. It helps you when you forget something but you can also use it to study during down time you have. It is also very easy to carry, it fits right in you're pocket.

The Mobile World
This is a great supplemental tool to augment your skills especially in the mobile radiography world. There is a section on mobile radiography and the general content will help you perform infrequent exams. This pocket guide is well organized and helpful!

So-so
No evaluation criteria and only demonstrates the basic view. Does not offer any alternatives. Good as a very quick reference.

decent text
I said its just ok because its a little big. Doesn't have some common views I'd like to see as far as trauma stuff goes and the tabs tear off way to easily.
