GAME CHANGER WHEN WALKING THE DOG!!!
The HOLT over the nose and head halter is awesome! I am an experienced dog person and have been through out the years. I don’t know why I never decided to check this type of head halter out, but I am so glad I did give it a chance. My dog Buster always barks and pulls causing a problem when the mailman, the UPS, truck, Amazon truck, etc. go by us on our daily walk. I currently have three dogs but only of my dogs named Buster has the issue with pulling a lot! What a difference this halter makes!!! Almost no pulling at all! It’s not perfect but it’s getting better every day. I do give him a treat every time the trucks passes because he is listening and not hardly pulling or barking at all. Rewarding him makes him feel good and lets me know that day by day he is learning and get rewarded for being a good boy and being much calmer! The halter also distracts him. I should have gotten this a few years ago to help train. So glad I have it now! Proper fit is important. Buster is an Olde English Bulldog with a shorter nose and the nose strap just fits over the nose perfectly. It seems to stay in place with enough gap away from the eyes. I do check often to make sure it stays in place and far enough away from the eyes with no slipping towards the eyes.. No problems so far. This halter may not work on a flat faced dog.I LOOK FORWARD TO OUR DAILY WALKS ! WE ARE VERY SATISFIED!

Very nice head harness
I've used the Gentle Leader head harness for a number of my dogs, including some rescues that I was fostering. They worked but I found several problems with them. The nose piece isn't padded so it tended to rub on the dogs nose and also frequently rode up to the edge of their eyes, no matter how I adjusted it. I also found you had to make the straps pretty tight, which the dogs didn't like, to help keep it in place. And that sometimes didn't even work as I frequently found the collar had slipped/moved during the walk. Lastly, the straps got looser and looser over time and retightening them would only last a short while before they needed readjusting.I decided to try this product, the Holt head harness, the successor to the very popular Halti. Received it and was very impressed with the design as well as the padding on the nose strap (to prevent rubbing) and the additional strap for connecting to the dog's regular collar. Used them last night for the first time, one on my 87 lb German Shepherd (size 3) and one on my 42 lb 2 year old mix (very much still a puppy) (size 2). The Holt collars fit perfectly and were very easy to adjust. My German Shepherd didn't mind it at all, the puppy resisted a little at first (as she always did w/ the gentle leader) but quickly settled in. Took a nice long walk and came home. Both were still adjusted perfectly, no slippage or movement, and no irritation on their noses. They also seemed to give a little more control, easier head turning, than the gentle leader.I'm glad I made the change. Very highly recommended.

Great product!
5 stars across the board from me. One of my dogs is, what's a nice way to put it ... Satan. My other 2 are such angels compared to my little Lucifer. His name is Timber and he's a boxer mix, who enjoyed eating two of my steering wheels, my mother's steering wheel, shoes, and half of a wall in his younger years. He hasn't grown out of his assholish ways much so this halti is great. I put it on like a collar and I usually just let the muzzle part hang from the attached collar unless he's decided he wants to scream bloody murder at dogs crossing the street. I mainly got this because of his pulling on walks, he has a pull collar and that doesn't help at all, so I wanted to give this a try. He doesn't like it because he can't pull, no dog I assume likes being walked by his face. But it works great as a muzzle as well. He likes to yell at everyone's dog, he's really a sweetheart, but he scares other people walking their dogs and I thought this would be great for that as well and it has! Timber also hates when we give his nails a trim, he has taken to nipping me when trying to do so, so I put this on while trimming his nails and the noises he was making were unholy. I thought I was excorcising a demon out of my dog. (This has happened since he was a puppy, idk why he is insane but I love him and he's a sweetheart when he's not being a hellian) anyways. This halti is great, multipurpose and it does work wonders! I highly recommend.

Thank you Coastal!
My dog was quite the puller before purchasing this product. Now he's very well mannered on a leash. The good: It's Easy to put on and remove, and very simple to use. I do recommend a trial fit or two before going out with it.Not so good: If you have a dog who digs their heels in, and pulls in the opposite direction, you may have an issue with them pulling this over their head. After it happened twice, I would just walk toward my dog when he did this and it didn't become habitual. My dog would also drop to the ground to try to rub it off his face, so it didn't speed up our walks for awhile. I dropped one star for these two issues as it's definitely a design issue, and some other dogs I tried it on did the same thing, so I'm sure it's fairly common.Overall, however, the difference was immediate! Our dog would pull like crazy before and, after wearing this, every time he tried to pull his head would be redirected to whoever was walking him. No need to tug, as the dog is the one who either pulls their head around or doesn't. When he stops pulling, he can look where he wants. If he tries to walk in the opposite direction, he's gently redirected. He still drops and rubs from time to time - or rubs up against our legs - but after using it consistently for awhile, and erratically for some time now, he is well behaved on his leash and doesn't drag me, my wife or the kids around anymore.

Works great.
German shepherd loves it. Great quality buckles and nose strap doesn’t rub top of dogs nose raw like other brands I’ve seen.

Excellent training tool
I’ve tried a figure of eight headcollar with my large, energetic, adolescent Boxer with limited success. However this headcollar gives better control of the head, as lead attaches under the chin. On this headcollar he walks beautifully and it fits comfortably without moving about too much, as it has a useful clip under the chin to hold it in place.

Fits bully breeds.
Great quality with out paying for a more common brand (halti) purchased for 15week old dogo lab mixes xl fits 17"_24"collar and 7"_9"snout these were alittle big in the neck ,used a zip tye to fold and hold excess neck band cut and filed zip tye so as not to irrate neck.these will see the dogs through their constant growth. Pups took to this way of walking very quikly and has stopped all pulling before it became a habit..
