Sweese 1309 Porcelain Salad/Pasta Bowls - 22 Ounce - Set of 6, White

Our go-to casual bowl/plates have been the Classic Coupe by Ten Strawberry Street.Unfortunately we've lost a bunch over the years and they are no longer available to replenish our set.I ordered these as a possible replacement.First of all, they are not identical . . . but that's ok.They are a smidge smaller in diameter, slightly deeper, and the porcelain is thicker than the Strawberry Street porcelain.That being said, I love them.The thickness makes them look and feel more casual, but that's what we are using them for so that's a non-issue.They are a bit smaller in diameter but make up for that by being a smidge deeper so their volume capacity is pretty much equal.The size is perfect for dinner salads, pasta and normal sized servings of almost any entree. They are especially handy for meals with a stew-y or saucy consistency. They're not quite deep enough to comfortably hold a brothy soup (especially if you're eating on the sofa), but for almost anything else, they are great.They nest very well so they are space efficient stacked in our cabinet and also in the dishwasher. They have held up well in the dishwasher so far (been using these for about a month).They feel good in hand, and the slightly deeper shape actually feels more comfortable when holding this on my lap while sitting on the sofa.I already have the Sweese dessert bowls and they've held up fabulously over the years. I have no doubt these pasta bowls will do the same.

BEAUTIFUL COLOURFUL BOWLSI love these bowls, really, I love them, I use them almost everyday. I have wanted a set of pasta bowls for years.These are such cool colours, and are fantastic for all sorts of food, not just pasta. They don't overheat too much in the microwave, I could take my supper out with my hands, but to be safe, use hot mitts.This type of dinnerware have small imperfections that make them unique from one another.They are well worth the money to have such pretty bowls to enjoy your food in.As long as they don't increase the price.

Most bowls in this style are an inch or two larger in diameter. These dishes are the perfect size to help with portion control.

Salads, soups, main dishes, desserts...these bowls are perfect for them all. These come in a great palette of "seaside" colours and are a joy to eat from.
