BLU Studio 5.5 D610a Unlocked Dual SIM GSM Phone (Pink)

First, I would like to say that all Blu Phones are great. I finally got my Blu Studio 5.5 D610a today. The internet is very fast. The Apps on this phone takes seconds to download. The sound is awesome. There is lots of ringtones to choose from. The wallpappers are beautiful. It is very thin and sleek. This phone is not too light but f ar from heavy. The material of this phone is sturdy (Not the cheap stuff). I ordered the phone in Pink. I wanted to get the yellow phone so I could stand out but apparently yellow is very popular these days. The pink is soft and very cute. I am glad I chose this color. My husband has the Blu Studio 5.5s. He's had it for almost 3wks now and it is amazing. I was going to get the 5.0 inch screen but after seeing my husbands phone (5.5 inch screen) I realized that the 5.5 inch phone would not be so huge. I have tiny hands (My ring finger is a 4). This phone fits comfortably in my hands. I must say that my phone's model is much better than his. I have a variety of cases to my model. The camera is much clearer than his. The resolution is perfect. If you purchased the Blu Studio 5.5s you would not by all means be dissapointed. My Phone, Blu Studio 5.5 D610a, is just slighty better. His phone looks better but hey, mine isn't ugly. Besides, he dont have any good options of protecting his phone (not many cases). I do wonder if we could get our phones insured?.... Go with any Blu phone and you not be dissapointed. To make it even more exciting I downloaded Chomp SMS on my Blue. I customized my texts the color and theme that I want. For those of you that don't like to turn your phone off, there is an awesome feature that allows you to set a time and day to turn your phone on and off.... No more overcharging or ruining your battery by leaving your phone plugged in all night. I have my phone scheduled to turn off at 11pm and on at 6:30am. Therefore, I wouldnt miss my alarm at 7am. Cool huh? I've test it a few times today and it works just fine. I am very HAPPY WITH MY BLU

This phone lasted my wife a good 4 years. Not as good as the Blu Studio 5.0s but still great for the price.

I bought the Blu Studio 5.5 unlocked after researching it and many others for several days. I was a little hesitant at first because of the reviews about some going black and not coming back on and those who said they couldn't send/receive photos and some texts. I HAVE HAD MY BLU STUDIO FOR OVER A MONTH AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! I had purchased 2 phones previously and returned both because either the call quality or unable to use apps I am accustomed to using. Blu Studio is the exact size I was looking for and does all the things I want it to do. I have all my apps and games. I have 3 email accounts set up on it. My social media and all the other important things you need when you're living out of your cell phone. Blu Studio 5.5 went black twice USER ERROR ONCE and while plugged in during a power outage due to a storm but both times it immediately booted right up. I haven't had any problem with storage either. I still haven't put a sd card in it. I have tons of pics, texts, phone numbers, calendar going back to 2010, all in this wonderful phone!!! And to top it all off it came in pink, cases were easy to find, even one with a kick stand for when I watch videos. I don't Skype on my phone and I don't take selfies often so the front facing camera hasn't been an issue. The picture quality of the back facing camera is great for what I use it for which is EVERYTHING. I also set up the phone right away according to the specs shared on straight talk and never missed a text, sms, pic, or had a problem posting anything to social media. I want to thank everyone who shared the info on previous reviews and answered questions because I knew exactly what to do when I received the phone and how to set it up. Oh and I also bought the $7 sim card not the $50 sim from walmart. I already had service with straight talk so I just switched phones and kept the same number I've had for the past 4 years. I can't say I'm a techie or anything, just someone who likes a well working smart phone and not willing to pay for an iPhone or Samsung. I have better things to do with my money as a single mom. THIS PHONE IS BETTER THAN MOST OF THE PHONES I REVIEWED AND I DEFINITELY WOULD SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE!!!

Overall, the phone is a decent phone. It has a few irritating quirks, but it works well for my wife and that's all that matters. If you purchase one of these, be prepared to "manage" you internal storage. I bought my wife a 64 SD Card for this phone, but some of the apps won't move. She is constantly having to manage her internal storage space. Other than that, it's a great budget smartphone.

Headphones died in the first week. Doesn't use regular ones, I have to but and $10 adapter for them to work. Total rip off!

I received this item after purchase in good enough time so thumps up. I have been using this phone for 4 days now and must say that I love it. My only major issue is that the battery runs down pretty quickly but this depends on the settings you have your phone on in terms of brightness, wifi, data service, vibration and any other feature that uses a lot of power. I would recommend this phone to anyone especially at the affordable cost. I must admit that when I first saw it I thought that it was way too big but then it grew on me. Also, there is a lack of cases available for purchase to ensure that your phone is protected. What I will suggest in this regard though is the purchase of a universal wallet case until Blu decides to provide more accessories fir their products.
