Board game aficionados will get it when I say "tactical meeple," but that's beside the point.The 1/4"-20 connector is easy to secure with the right hardware (standard photography/tripod stuff), and the 17mm ball is perfect for the NUMEROUS phone clamps we've accumulated over the years. I wish I'd known about this product three years ago when I configured my art studio for streaming during the pandemic.I'm using mine on the butt of a cane handle (I use a monopod as a cane) and am attaching a magnetic phone mount to the ball. This allows me to "dock" my cane against the side of the refrigerator, or on doorjam strike plates, or any convenient steel surface.

Works well for my needs. Used it with a phone holder mount for a motorcycle. Still hard to text at highway speeds: (…..

I had tablet holder that had a very short clamp that was a ball and socket design. I wanted to put the tablet holder on a friction arm and this adapter for the bill perfectly.

This ball mount is perfect to replace garbage suction cup mounts that never stay put or are too wobbly.

This is basically just the ball part of a ball and socket connection. Although it does come with the nut, which is probably extra to whatever you already have. Even though it has a 1/4-20 hole in the base, it does not come with a 1/4-20 screw. So if you have a monopod/tripod with the 1/4-20 stem, this will screw right on. But if you want to connect this to a 1/4-20 hole, you'll need to add a 1/4-20 male-to-male adapter.Once I pulled that out of my part box, the ball screwed on perfectly. And then the phone charger mount with the socket end popped right on.

You know how those windshield mounted wireless chargers always fall off, and/or they wobble so much that your phone counts steps while you're driving? Some of them can be disassembled and mounted in a more custom and intelligent way. My Anker (Aukey?) cradle just happened to take a 17mm ball so I ordered this mount and bolted it to a piece of aluminum that I fabricated, and so far it is working perfectly. Even with the weight of a Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, there is minimal vibration and no sag.For the curious, the aluminum bracket is attached to the vent housing with a piece of 3M VHB.

Good construction, works with most mounts as 17mm ball joint appears all over the place in phone mounts, camera mounts, etc.. wish it didn’t flare so much at the base, but it can be sanded down pretty easily

車載 MagSafe充電スタンドの充電器だけ屋内で再利用する事に。17mmのボールジョイントの付いた卓上スタンドが見つからなかったので、ボールマウントアダプターを選択。ベースは取り敢えず三脚とした。ヘッドの頭にバリの跡が目立つが、デバイス等の装着時は見えなくなるので気にしない。本体は樹脂で、1/4インチネジ穴は金属。一体系でない異素材同士で、ちゃんと固定されていない製品だと、ネジ穴パーツが飛び出して来る。本製品は、そんな片鱗が無いので、一応安心。900円で購入。この造りでは、正直高い。需要を考えると仕方ない部分もあるが、この値段なら2個入りが妥当。1個入りで400円台なら星5。

Mounted this to a Panavise plate and used it to mount a ESR Halolock charger. Unfortunately the plastic portion of this broke away from the 1/4-20 threaded insert the first time I used it.
