Q: Do these need to be refrigerated before they are cooked?

The bacon rind "bits" are dried. No need for refrigeration. Just follow instructions on package, BUT I nuke mine for four minutes on high in a high power microwave for best results.

Q: 15 dollars for 18 pack of original, ok...but 32 dollars!!! for18 hot and spicy?? seriously? that makes it a no sale for me, and i love them.

If you have a RUNNINGS store near you they sell the individual packages for $1 for original and hot and spicy.
