NEIKO 10048A Security Bit Set 100-Piece Set Cr-V Steel 1/4-inch Adapters Phillips Slotted Hex Torx Star Tamperproof Pozi Square Spanner Torque Tri-Wing Clutch Spline Wing Nut, Security Torx Bit Set

Just to make it clear, I am reviewing the NEIKO 10224A 1/4" Extra Long bits that come in a 32 piece set. Amazon's review system is confusing and you see reviews for the 7 or 8 different options under this listing, so I just wanted to clarify what I'm talking about. These are made in Taiwan and a very nice quality. I purchased them primarily for my Anex bit-holding ratcheting screwdriver, and they fit like a glove with zero play or wobble (thanks to the Anex). I imagine they would work just fine in a power drill as well.

I'm a fixer of things and this kit will allow me to get into where I want to repair or investigate. In warranty is one thing, but when you are out of warranty and want to look, this kit did it for me. The funny thing is I currently only needed one security bit for a project. I went to my local hardware store and a few bucks for just one. And I wasn't sure the size was correct. I'm fussy about my tools and a kit made more sense to me. I looked and compared, read reviews, and bought this set. I'm glad I did. The selection is big, and the kit may sit for a while, but the day will come that it will have use for it again and take on projects that I couldn't do without them. I was also curious why so many #2 Phillips, do they break easily. I took one and twisted and drove a screw in and out of a piece of wood. It did not break using my torque driver. Plenty of extra ones. The magnetic extension looks well-made and the 1/4" extensions can come in handy. Yes, I recommend this kit. It is another tool to have at hand and for the price, it's a deal.

Some of the bits are pretty weak. Other than that, great kit.

I work as a professional auto mechanic. I am an ASE Master Tech with advanced certification. I am always purchasing tools and where I can I try not to purchase Snap-on or other name brand just to save some money. When I purchased this set it was mainly just so I could have one bit a T-40 long bit to use when removing a Volvo thermostat housing. With this long bit it would save me a lot of work. So to be honest I didn't want to pay $25 for a set when all I wanted was one bit. But I also know that working as a mechanic the other bits will come in handy. Well I put the bits threw the real test of hard work and they passed. The first thing that I notice when I received the bits was the weight. They actually weigh a lot. But I know from experience that just because metal weighs a lot doesn't necessarily make it strong. This is where tensile strength comes in. If a metal is made with minimal tensile, then the metal will twist and eventually break. If the tensile strength is too strong then the metal will suffer fatigue and break. I am very happy to say that these bits did not twist or even break when torque to proper foot pounds. I was so happy and to tell the truth a bit surprised. I had assumed, wrongly, because of the weight that they would break. I am so happy that I purchased this bit set that I proudly display it on top of my Snap-on tool box and let every mechanic know what a great buy they are. This is one of those times when I find a tool that is less expensive then Snap-on or other name brand professional but still made to a high degree that they can be used by professionals. Whether you are a professional mechanic or a backyard mechanic I would recommend this set of bits. The quality far exceeds the price.

It has almost every bit you could want the ratcheting driver is not very high-quality, but it does its job. And the bits are decently strong. I would say no complaints, although it is missing a couple of patterns. I have found it very useful

Totally worth it when you have a decent distance. Almost all the sizes you need to mess with things. Use it in my impact driver all the time.

The bits are fantastic - but this case is crap and doesn't hold the bits and the case wont close - I found myself looking for lost bits with a flashlight in a gravel driveway for 40 mins. Get a rubber bit rail if you buy this set. Works GREAT

Fantastic addtion for your toolbox. Great variety of driver points for use in situations where conventional size points can’t reach.

Muy buen metal

kit came as described in the photo. very useful
