I've been relying on the Women's UPF 50+ UV Sun Protection Long Sleeve Athletic Hiking Shirt for about three years now, and it's still in absolutely great condition! This speaks volumes about its durability and quality, holding up perfectly through countless wears and washes. I live in a place, where the heat gets excessive and the sun is relentless, effective sun protection is not just a preference, it's a necessity. This jacket has been an absolute lifesaver. It truly helps protect my skin from the harsh UV rays, giving me peace of mind whether I'm hiking, running errands, or just enjoying time outdoors. What truly sets this garment apart, especially in extreme heat, is its breathability. Despite being a long-sleeve layer, I don't feel sweaty with it on. The lightweight fabric and excellent ventilation keep me surprisingly cool and comfortable, even when temperatures soar.

This hoody fits me very well. I purchased a medium so I think it may run on the small size since it was snug, but not too small. The sleeves were a perfect length, though I don’t have long arms. The color was exactly as shown. Also, it protects against UV really well. I found that out the hard way when I wore it to the beach & was completely covered under shade of umbrella & got burnt only on my chest where I left jacket unzipped. : ( Lastly, the fabric is very light weight & perfect for about 80 degrees.

I own several of these because I throw one on pretty much any time I go outside. I'm a fair skinned redhead and I live in sunny California. These jackets are so thin, light, soft, and breathable (even the zipper is fine and soft), and I love that I don't have to pull it over my head. The hood is also nice and deep so I can put it up with my hair in a ponytail without it looking stupid. The hood is awesome when the sun is to your back. The zipper pockets are a nice touch but I don't put much in them because the fabric is stretchy so it looks weird if there's anything heavy in them. But you CAN if you need to.They fit pretty loose so if you want a more fitted look size down from what the size chart says (the one in the pictures, not the Amazon generalized size chart). I have a 29" waist and 37" bust and a small is fitted but not tight at all. I can layer it over other clothes in cool weather and it still isn't too tight. I also have pretty big arms and shoulders for my size and the arms aren't too tight.

Very happy with the jacket,I needed something for work since I am at the crosswalk of the school and hotter days are coming so I will need that extra sun protection. Jacket feels comfortable and lightweight, the material is thin so hopefully it will last a couple of washes. It doesn’t fit to snug so that’s perfect. I am 5 foot seven and 160 pound and I bought a large.

Better than sunscreen because it's so quick to slip on and not greasy. I got this before aCaribbean cruise. Very hot in Columbia, Costa Rica and island ports. It worked out fantastic! With the heat and humidity I just dropped it off my shoulders when I was too hot. I love that I can unzip and let more air flow. Light to carry in shops and restaurants. The sleeves are long enough and protect the wrist and hand well. You can easily roll a cuff if you don't want to use the thumb hole.The fabric is light weight and allows some air flow. Rolls up small for a backpack. When kayaking for several hours some sun got through to my daughters shoulders when she was wearing the jacket so put on sunscreen before getting on the water, reflecting sun, for many hours. This still protected bettrr than sunscreen alone!!! The hood is also great to protect the neck and sides of face from reflected sun, and fine under a broad rimmed hat.Trust the size chart. I wear a size 12 and have never before bought a size 2XL, which is what the chart noted for my measurements. This fits perfectly! Not tight, not too loose.If you're tall this should also work for you. My daughters are almost 6 feet tall and love this.I'm buying another one and two more for my daughters.Absolute win!!!

The size is right, and it’s a lightweight hoodie, which I wanted, but it smells like plastic even after washing, and the two halves of the zipper came apart in the dryer. It doesn’t look great, either, because the white fabric is sheer. I’ll update my review with an evaluation of the UV-blocking capability if the hoodie stops stinking and I actually decide to wear it.UPDATE: the smell did mostly go away when the hoodie finished drying. I washed it and dried it one more time, and it smelled like plastic again while wet but did not smell after the second drying.The UV protection is satisfactory.The hoodie also takes permethrin clothing spray well.It still only gets three stars because it’s ugly. If you want it to look good, maybe don’t buy it in white.

As a fair-skinned blonde, I've become a big fan of the long-sleeved SPF shirts. I can protect my skin without having to slather on sticky sunscreen, and even though the sleeves are long, the fabric actually has a cooling effect. I have a couple of pullover SPF shirts, but I wanted one with a jacket style with a hood so I could protect my neck and scalp. I normally wear a Large in shirts but wanted this to fit a little looser over my clothes, so I ordered an XL. When zipped up, it was still a little bit smaller than I would have preferred but decided to keep it since I will usually wear it unzipped over another shirt. I haven't washed it yet, but it seems to be good quality and I expect to have many years of sun protection with it.I purchased this product at full price and my review was not solicited by the seller.
