It says it fits my 2005 screaming eagle Electra glide but the stock Harley filter I am replaceing measures 6 1/2x5 1/2 x2 1/4 deep ?

If it does not fit you can always return. If it does not fit send back. Easy mail them and they will send a label. Take to post office with part and label clerk will give you a box and put label on. best return policy that I know of. If chart says fits your HD go for it

with what chemical do you clean the K&N air filters with?

You can use a pinch of mild dish soap to clean the air filter.

Can you leave this on all the time?

Yes, you can leave this cover on all of the time, that's how i run mine. The cover is designed as a rain cover for open filter air cleaners but i like the extra filtering that it provides to keep my K&N filter just that much cleaner.

Best filter for your Harley.

Purchased as a replacement for my Big Sucker Stage 1 Air Cleaner filter. This filter is not made to fit that air cleaner. Only one or the three screws that hold it on would line up. I secured it with the only screw that would line up and it seems to hold just fine. Other than that the filter works great.
