Great saddle; definitely prevents saddle sore.
I love this saddle. The only thing I don't like is that it is a bit "chunkier" than I expected. Perhaps I could have gone with the "Athletic" version or the other thinner version since I do wear padded bike shorts, however I do love that it doesn't hurt to ride my bike without padded shorts if I ever just want to go out for a short, quick ride. The way the seat vents in the front and dips in the middle is perfect, as I no longer experience the immense "saddle sore" that I would get with my old seat.It could be seen as a little embarrassing given that all the cyclists I know use hard, small seats, but who needs pride? Even in bike shorts I am much too uncomfortable on a hard, non-vented/dipped seat, so I am quite happy with how much more comfortable rides have been since I put this on my bike. I have been able to ride much further, and my body parts definitely thank me for it the next day.If you are more into long-distance road or mountain biking, however, definitely try to get a thinner seat. By thinner, I mean that the back part of the saddle is thick/wide/well-padded and could get in the way of movements for some people. That said, it hasn't been a problem for me, although I have seen some people who like to be able to easily move behind their bike post/seat on a decent down rocky terrain. I can personally still do this, it just still doesn't compare to the typical saddle most cyclists would generally have on bike. For those that want a more comfortable seat for urban biking or riding around with or without padded shorts, this saddle will also be quite comfortable for you, I'm sure. The wideness in the back definitely makes for nice cruising, however I believe Selle Royal also makes wider saddles in this style. For this brand, the "Moderate" refers to the angle in which the cyclist would sit and how much contact one would make with the rear portion of the seat.I don't have many other additional comments, other than the ventilation system definitely seems to work well, and I like how the material can easily be washed off.Enjoy!

finally! a comfortble saddle for a tall woman
I'm a big girl - 5'11, 220lbs, and have probably spent more money on saddles than my bike, trying to find something comfortable (and yes, ive had my bike professionally fitted, its not the bike). I'm also a (former) professional horse trainer, so i've had a very hard time accepting that your bike saddle should just be uncomfortable, and you should have to deal with pressure points. Sorry but my *** has had 30 years of evenly distributed pressure I'm not interested in dealing with numbness now.the respiro women's moderate is the first saddle ive ridden in where there is *no* discomfort. it fits my seatbones correctly, the cutout relieves perineum pressure, and most importantly (imo anyway) the royal gel distributes pressure hands down better than any saddle I've sat on.i ride a specialized diverge comp and my average riding length/time is about 90 minutes. since i just got this saddle i've only been out for short rides (20 mins) but since every other saddle ive ever tried presented pressure/discomfort by then, I'm giving the review now. If it turns out I'm wrong and the saddle becomes uncomfortable for longer rides, I'll come back and update this review, but so far, its the closest ive come to the evenly distributed pressure of a horse saddle, while still allowing for moderate (~60 degree) position on a gravel bike without interfering with pedaling.

Perfect Seat for upright bike long rides - mature women
I am an athletic 64 year old - normally size 14. I had 4 bike seats prior to this three of which were more expensive. My typical ride is between 12 to 15 miles - sometimes longer. I ride upright to save the neck ache and have a better view. In the past I have had to take a break every half hour 40 mins - because of soreness in the tender areas. The Selle Royal is the perfect seat - good support for sit bones and wide enough to provide support- the cut out in the middle is wide enough to take all pressure off the sensitive area, and soft around the edging- the nose is not so long that it gets in the way when getting on and off the bike- I can ride for 1.5 to 2 hours and be perfectly comfortable- I wear bike shortsI am grateful that I can once again enjoy long rides where I don't think once about repositioning the seat to be more comfortable or getting off the bike because I am getting numb. Thank you Selle

A massive improvement
I love this bike seat. This allows me to ride my bike much longer and more frequently without being sore. I will never go back to a bike seat with this gap.

100% COMFORT
All 3 of my bikes have Selle Royal saddles. Best ever for a woman's anatomy. I promise you'll love these saddles. They have curves in all the right places making biking a joy.

Best, most comfortable women's saddle - no more pain
I was in love with this saddle within minutes during the first ride. Did not even have to break it in.I have tried many bike saddles, including a cheaper model from this same brand, a thin athletic saddle, and a heavily padded saddle but, none of them come even close to the comfort of this one.It is built for women's anatomy which makes it extremely comfortable and it keeps you cool due to the ventilation channel in the middle. With the other saddles I had a variety of issues: my sit bones hurt, my tail bone hurt (even when sitting down on the couch after riding), one saddle had a hump in the front that was too high and it squished my vag-area, another rubbed and chafed the inside of my thighs, they would get hot, etc. This saddle gave me absolutely none of these issues.I am writing this because I've searched for a good saddle for a long time and any lady rider will know what I'm talking about because us girls, we are built differently than men.

Excellent Buy.
I bought a new woman’s hybrid bike and the saddle it came with was for me unusable so I swapped on my old selle royal gel saddle which is about 20 years old. But I was still finding the ride incredibly uncomfortable, particularly over bumps. I honestly did not expect a lot from this saddle as I thought my old one was pretty good. However this saddle has transformed my cycling experience.I was not sure what saddle to buy but went with the name that I knew. I ride every day for fitness maybe 15 -20 miles and am inclined at about 60 degrees. This saddle is unbelievably comfortable. What surprised me most was that it reduces the shock of potholes etc extremely well. My whole body is no longer jarred by going down holes in the road. The saddle also seems to provide support where needed. Sitting back on the saddle the gel at the back is very comfortable and it’s long enough to support me well if I cycle more aggressively and lean forward. It also looks really smart. All in all an excellent item.

Eased tailbone discomfort
Really pleased with this saddle. After returning to cycling after 40 years away, I was being troubled with tailbone pain. This saddle seems to have reduced discomfort considerably and am now able to manage 30-40km rides with no problems. Don't bother with those cheap, wide, metal spring saddles, they just make the problem worse.
