Franklin Brass W35059-VBC-C Classic Beaded single Duplex Outlet Wall Plate / Switch Plate / Cover, Bronze with Copper Highlights

So happy I found this! I replaced a solid brass wall plate which constantly had to be wiped down and re-shined from fingerprints. I live in a home that was built in the 90's so it has gold accents EVERYWHERE. This has enough of the brass in it to match with everything without being too much. It came with the hardware and was easy to install.

These are beautiful! I saw them and decided to take a chance and order all the covers I needed for the kitchen. I recently moved and live in an older house that has some updates, but the switch plates have not been replaced (or probably cleaned) in thirty years. It’s a country-type kitchen with real wood cabinets, and I wanted something that enhances the beauty of the cabinets without being too modern. These are PERFECT. They are NOT BLACK. They appear like a shiny black in the picture even though the description says bronze. They are the burnished bronze color that goes nicely with black, brown, and white. I don’t recommend them to match anything silver, though. They don’t scratch easily (and, trust me, I put them to the test with my flat head screwdriver.) I didn’t tell my husband I was getting them and changed everything out while he was at work. He got home and noticed them right away and raves about how much he thought they dressed up the kitchen. This is his mama’s house, so I want to add my touches while respecting the home he grew up loving. I was thrilled that he was so happy with the changes. All of the plates fit perfectly. I had no issues with anything. And I’ve very happy with how it all looks. I even bought two more plates for the dining room light switches.

I was really impressed with these. I got the bronze colour but they didn't quite match with the room so I spraypainted mine copper. They spraypaint well, just need a clear epoxy over the spray paint. They're thick metal, not the flimsy 24 gauge metal I was expecting. Depending on where you buy home improvement goods, these are the same price as, or slightly cheaper than, the ugly plastic ones.

Sometime in the 70’s someone decided that beige plastic switch plate covers would look much better than the original dark brown Bakelite covers that were most likely in my 1920’s bungalow. I knew the bronze covers would be a huge improvement, and they are, but there is one big problem. The screws that hold the switch plate in place are more than twice as long as the ones I’m replacing, and they won’t go all the way in. I took the plate off and inspected the inside of the switch and can’t find any blockage, but no matter how hard I try the screws just stop and won’t budge any further. Using more strength just ended up scratching the screw and I was afraid I’d strip it so I stopped.Old houses are weird and it’s always challenging to update old fixtures with new products, but I can’t see any reason why the screws that came with this product need to be so much longer than standard. Tomorrow I’ll head to Ace to see if they can point me to some bronze or brass colored screws that are half the length. Wish it had been simple!

I purchased this style in 1, 2 and 3 toggles, duplexes and rockers for every socket in my home except the living room. The color looks great with our green and brown earth tones and something as simple as changing the wall plates really add value and eye candy to the house. The price does add up quickly, but it was a good investment since I don't plan to ever buy this type of product again.It's a strong metal material, won't bend or break. But, they do scratch easily. I scratched a few of them around the screw area when using my drill to tighten then quickly. Forgot to slow down, my mistake! Anyhoo, the only thing I would worry about is it rusting. My old bathroom fixtures were also metal but for some reason they rusted on the bottom. I'm hoping because these were double the price, they would stand the test of time and FL climate.

I recently completed the backsplash in my kitchen and my old switch plates just didn't look right. I have a dark brown glass tile with copper highlights, so I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find something "just right." I came across these in an oil-rubbed bronze with copper highlights and they are absolutely perfect!These are made of metal and seem to be substantial. Easy enough to install and none are "crooked." The screws are a matching color and using a screwdriver does not cause a discoloration. Though, if the screwdriver slips and hits the switch plate, it will scratch.Love the look and the price was spot on. So happy with this purchase.

I bought three different light plates from Franklin Brass. Every one was excellent quality, heavy duty with a beautiful finish. The products I received looks exactly like what I ordered. One of the plates was missing its attachment screws. I contacted the company and replacement hardware was sent out right away and the whole issue was resolved in just a few days. This is a great company with great products and outstanding customer care.

These are probably the nicest cover plates I've seen. They are heavy and the screws don't chip paint when installing like the cheap ones. I ordered in all three colors and will keep to use in different rooms of the house. The white matched perfectly with the white sockets/switches that an electrician recently installed in our kitchen. This alone made them worth the hefty cost. I had purchased and returned several other covers at big box stores because they didn't match up. The quality surpasses anything you can buy at the store for sure. For the other colors I wasn't sure I'd like the contrast with the white socket but it works/actually looks good. Compliments the dark wood work in our home.

I love these Franklin Brass covers and have purchased many but the prices are all over the place. I purchased on of these in Jan 2020 and it was $15 and now when I need another for a different room I am updating the price jumped from $26 last week to $36 this week. How can Amazon keep messing with pricing like this. I am going to see if I can purchase these from somewhere else that is not trying to price gouge. Hope they correct this back a a normal price as there is no way this a worth $36, $15 was fair for it.

Trying to match MOEN Mediterranean bronze faucet as it was end of Color sale and everything was sold out so turned to Amazon to try and match. This color is the closest I found and I'm not disappointed. Also bought toilet paper holder in the same Franklin brass color. This is a bit darker but since it's not going to be side by side, it will give the illusion that they all match.

This wall plate is quite attractive. Looks very nice on the wall. I was somewhat surprised the the 2 colors are not as well defined as in the picture. The copper dots around the outside seem to be randomly highlighted to show the copper whereas in the picture they are perfectly highlighted.

Lovely but not meant for single light switch. Look at the opening carefully.

A little expensive for not having the inside part but is beautiful
