Good quality soldering tool!
I needed a temperature adjustable soldering iron for a circuit board assembly project and this worked great! It came with an assortment of tips for different applications but I used the one that was on it as delivered. The stand and sponge it came with is nothing spectacular but did the job. The temperature dial is in Centigrade so I had to convert it to Fahrenheit to dial in the recommended temperature for my project. Other than that, the price was good!

Solder is garbage and shouldnt be given to beginners
i was at the point where i was going to give up because i thought there was something i was doing wrong... the solder wouldnt actually stick to anything, and hardened before even leaving the iron most times, on top of that it is LITERALLY impossible to get it back off the board with a desolder wick no matter what you do, add all the flux you want it wont help. i got some new solder and its so incredibly awesome now, im actually able to solder little pins by running the iron back and forth over them like your supposed to be able to, where as before the second i touched the iron to the pins, the solder would INSANTLY harden in a ball and be stuck there and no matter what i did, it wouldn't even attempt to soak into a desolder wick lmao... regardless, if you get this kit MAKE SURE to get solder with it, id recommend tip tinner by thermaltronics as well as it turns fully black oxidized tips into literally brand new its pretty insane actually. i also went with AUSTOR led/tin rosin core .8 mm. they come coiled in little test tube type things with a tiny hole in the top cap where you can pull the solder through like a tissue box, then you can use the test tube itself to hold on to and pull out the solder as you need it through the hole in the cap, pretty neat and works AMAZING! runs incredibly well and now im soldering 1000x easier and its not a pain now hahahaother than the solder, the only other con id say this kit has is the stand that comes to hold the soldering iron, the only way to get it to not tip over forward when its holding the iron is to drill a hole in the desk its on and screw it into it, or do what i do which is literally place heavy objects on either side of it so it wont fall over... kind of obnoxious hahaother than that though the iron itself works awesome and comes with everything you would need (besides the garbage solder it comes with, seriously dont even bother with it)

Great gift
I purchased this set as a gift for someone interested in learning how to solder. I love that this kit has nearly everything they would need to begin practicing soldering. The only other thing that I needed to buy was a silicone mat, as you need a heat resistant/nonflammable surface when using heat tools.I chose this set primarily because it was so complete. It has the soldering tool, the tool stand, various tip sizes, the material to solder, and even the sponge to clean the tips off with. It also comes with an array of tools and materials that will make projects easier to complete. The soldering tool itself seems amazing, as it has a digital readout to see the current temperature. This means you won't be waiting for the tool to heat up longer than necessary. You will also know the exact temperature, so you can be sure you're not using too much heat on sensitive electronic pieces. I struggled to find many digital readout options for the soldering tool, so this feature sold me on this specific set.Lastly, it comes with a handy carrying case. This case is awesome, as it has internal loops to keep things in place and organized within the case. The case is very sturdy and durable, so you can bring it with you to repair on the go, or keep everything in one place to find your tools easily to use around the house. I'm very satisfied with the quality and thoughtfulness of the set, from the durability of the items to the consideration for each item's inclusion.

solder kit
Works ok. The iron could get hotter for soldering larger wire

Cheap garbage do not waste your money
Unfortunatly by the time I first used this it was past the return date so I’m stuck with it. Where to start, everything in this kit it cheap. I first put together the stand and it can’t even hold the iron up so I used an older stand I have which is twice the size so the stand is complelty useless. All the accessories in this kit are cheap and not even worth using. The cord on this iron is incredibly short so I had to grab an extension cable. From the moment I plugged it in it had a terrible smell. I thought it was just burning off something since it was the first time I had used it but the smell never went away and the entire area smelled like burnt chemicals. I started using the solder wire but it is not rosin core and just made an absolute mess the worst solder wire I have ever used so I tossed that. I really couldn’t find a tip that I liked but settled on one so I swapped it out. When I turned on the iron the button fell off. After it got hot the tip kept coming lose which is really frustrating when the iron is hot to try and tighten it back down. That requires gloves. I was soldering a wiring harness and hard the iron on for maybe an hour and the the thing completely melted. Total junk, now the iron is useless and there is nothing in the kit I would even bother keeping. This piece of crap didn’t make it through 1 use. I wouldn’t reccomend this for anyone ammature to pro.

Good when it works, but turns off randomly
Good when it works but it keeps switching itself off randomly and I need to twiddle the temperature dial to get it to come on again.
