Not happy that my control 4 hc300 only lasted three years, this is expensive to replace. Other than that, we enjoyed it and it is easy to operate.

Hard to find replacement item.. Fair price and quick delivery..

The item arrived and I had an authorized Control 4 installer install the unit and it did not work.The vendor said I should pay someone to have it repaired. He refused to take it back and refund my money.I don't think so when I purchased it he said it was like new and worked fine.Do not do business with this person.

You need to have professionals install the system. If done correct you won't have any of the problems described by others. It is a very network heavy system so if you have a low cost network you will get sub par results.

This is a great product that is easy to use and works great. The only downside is it does require a dealer to install but other than that I have no complaints.

The seller sent me a defective, non operational unit. Luckily the manufacture sent me a new power supply rebuild kit and then I was able to get it programmed and functioning as needed to be. No sure if I would buy from this seller again. I give the seller 1 star, the product 5 stars

Do not ever purchase nor have installed ANY Control4 product. These products are designed so that you need the dealer/installer TO DO ANYTHING. There is absolutely NO customer adjustable settings with this. You can't even get an update for it, without calling the dealer, making an appointment, and paying them. Control4 doesn't even work properly: we spent thousands on high end motion sensors and they just don't work.Clarification on motion sensors: we wanted lights to come on when someone walked down the side of the yard or in the back. The installer did a highly complex install from some security type motion sensors wired to a wireless repeater; then they installed a few wireless repeaters to get to the Control4 box. The delay on the on/off was about 60 seconds, which is fine for security, but terrible for say, emptying the trash. The back yard was really bad because we used it as a patio. We specifically wanted the switch to override the motion sensor. The installer spent hours trying to get it to work...when we were outside at night, the light would just turn off and on over and over again no matter what we did. The installer came out three times and I tried to fix it twice. Not possible. Yes, I am a technical person, so this should be doable.Pros: - If you have an account with Control4 (cost?) and have gone to training, I guess you can do very complex configurations.Cons: - Need the installer to add devices/troubleshoot ($100-250 per visit) - Can't contact manufacturer - Can't update the device without the installer making a visit (it's an Internet enabled device...) - Modules start at $100. Most other competitors average $50.

Control4 is absolute junk. I had a system put in that cost over $60K. Never worked properly, full of glitches, had to pay dealer to come and fix the minutest thing, complete waste of money. Avoid Control4.
