Bloomify Ludisia Discolor (Black Jewel Orchid), Dark Red Body, Lighting Bolt Patten, Potted

So excited to get this little ludisia which is not your standard ludisia discolor species. It looks like it could be ‘Spider-Man’ which is a cross of Anoectochilus roxburghii x Ludisia discolor. It has a lot more depth to the color than my ludisia discolor varieties like ‘Lightning’. What a fun addition to my collection! Also, the plant is teensy tiny but very healthy and looks like it’ll take off and grow quickly. It was packaged very well and did just fine with a week in the mail coming from a hot place.

Tiny, instantly lost red color and lightning bolt features, not what they say it is..

Plant size was small but I followed their included instructions and the starter is growing slowly.

The plant looks to be healthy, has a good root system but is so small, the leaves are like the size of a pea. I’ve had it now for a couple weeks and seems to be doing well so far.I prefer to buy plants in a larger size, sometimes they just don’t make it when they’re that small.

The orchid is amazing. Shipping was a bit of an issue. I take part of the blame, since I did order during a cold snap. The first plant froze over night because I didn't get any notification it was delivered. I contacted the seller and they were amazing. They sent me out a second plant quickly. It is a tiny little plant, I expect this and it's growing beautifully. Five stars for awesome customer service.

Nowhere in the listing does it specify that the plant is an un-rooted cutting. Buyer beware!

Very nice plant. First one was kind of fragile and weak. Seller immediate sent me a replacement that is very healthy and well. It arrived in just a few days. Very prompt

Time will tell… it’s excruciatingly tiny. I’d say it has one leaf about 3/4 of an inch long. Which is not much for an orchid.
