First 100 Animals: In the bestselling First 100 series

Easy and fun way to teach names of animals. Can be used for bilingual family, too, as toddlers don't read. My little one loves to make the imitative call of each animal and even mimic their movements.

We love the First 100 books — the photos are beautiful and durable (very important in toddler world). But this is a little less engaging for my 15-month-old than the First 100 Words book, which she’s already mastered. For example, there are many different kinds of birds, and to her, they’re all just “bird.” She still enjoys flipping through it, but I think it’ll shine more when she’s closer to 2+.

We do like most of Priddy's books, especially the First 100 ... padded books. They are colorful, right side for little hands ( and for parents to have them handy everywhere whether it is car, plane or baby room). The first 100 animals book is not an exception from that and what we love most - colorful photos, some unexpected animals/birds/insects that usually not present in other books for little ones. Book does not only entertain our toddler, but also helps to build his vocabulary and curiosity. And educates him as well - the other day our 18 month old competently said "moth" pointing to the what was actually a moth, while everyone else on playground was saying "butterfly".

We love this book series. They are the perfect size for toddlers and have lots to look at. They are especially great in the car for traveling!

This is a very bright, vibrant and colorful book throughout. The book board pages are nice and firm. It is well made and I think that it will hold up well. My 2 year old daughter loves it. She is not a very picky reader and will sit down with just about any book. I love that there is a variety of animals for us to review and learn. We took it along with us to a doctor’s appointment as it is the perfect size to fit into a diaper bag or purse. This was my daughter’s first time seeing the book and she was very delighted. Many exotic animals, some that I am learning myself! My 4 year old son was also entertained by it. He is a very picky reader, but I believe the animals were interesting enough to catch his attention. Although he liked the book, he wasn’t too happy to find a picture of a spider inside. Will purchase more of these as gifts in the future. This book is perfect for baby showers, birthdays and Christmas. I would recommend for ages 0-6 years old. I am also very happy with the price, super affordable and excellent quality.

This "First 100 Animals" book is perfect for introducing little ones to a variety of animals with bright and engaging pictures. My child enjoys flipping through the pages and pointing out animals they recognize. A great learning tool!

The book is full of beautiful pictures with great variety of animals. Sturdy pages to last for years.

After seeing how obsessed my son (13M) was with the "100 First Words" book of this series, I decided to get a few more to add to his collection. This is one of the books that he can easily turn the pages himself, and he really keeps himself busy and entertained looking at all of the pictures. They are also VERY durable. Not all board books are created equal. These he can bend 5 ways to Sunday and they still look brand new. I haven't had any that have ripped or cracked, which is IMPRESSIVE. I'm sure I'll be buying more for him in the future!

My son is quite possibly obsessed with this book! He is a year old and just starting to learn animal names and noises. This book works very much like a set of flash cards and he enjoys pointing to the animals and telling us what they are. I also like that the pictures Re photographs, rather than illustrations - I think it makes it easier for him to recognise them. A very good first book of animals. Oh, and it's pretty indestructible, too!
