Works As Advertised
I have given the product 5 stars because it does work as advertised. However, it didn’t perform for me. But it was not the fault of the product. It was all due to my human frailties.Unfortunately I wear prescription glasses for distance. I primarily wear them while driving. The installation of the monitor either on the windshield or dashboard position the monitor too close for me to properly view with my glasses on. Meaning, the screen is 90% blurry. I can see the road within the immediate of my headlights, but any vehicle or sign forward are just blurry specs I can’t discern. I should not drive without my distance glasses on. And even I did, which I can, I would need my computer or reading glasses to view the screen.I can see the screen clearly and all it is capturing when wearing computer or reading glasses. But I cannot drive with those glasses on. Although everyone has different sight traits, I believe it is safe to say anyone sharing my prescription glasses scenario will have difficulty viewing the screen using prescription distance glasses.I believe this product is best suited for someone who can see both close and at a distance clearly. Guess I have to wait until the company creates a screen the size of a Tesla console.I ended up returning the product. Oh to have my 20/15 vision once again. Sigh.

Not what I was hoping for. Buyers remorse.
Update 9/19/2021 After using this dash cam for while I have found it to be more useful than not useful. If you are using the window mount I recommend putting a very small amount of blue lock tight. The screw seems to come loose on me. Before you go to place on windshield. Be sure to clean the surface of your windshield. I used soapy water. Be sure you have a good electric supply max 12.5 volts if I remember correctly. I brought my stars up to 4 stars because they did reach out to me and tried to solve some of the problems. Also I'm going to experiment with some of the lenses I have for my drone and see if I can improve color on camera. They did say they are going to be coming out with a newer version but in a year. Yes I do plan on buying the newer version if I see improvements.Buyers remorse. I wanted to use this unit a few weeks before I made my opinion known. Picture quality is subpar. I had colored lines going across the display today. At night yes it does a fair job. But not as well as some of the reviews I've seen on YouTube. Every vehicle coming towards me has a helo around the head lights. Matter of fact it's more like watching rainbows with every vehicle that comes towards me. For the amount of money I paid for this thing. It should have been FAR better.I've tried both mounts. The sticky dash mount seems to work better but unfortunately it doesn't work on my dash. My dash drops at an angle towards the windshield and even with me pointing the camera as much as I can. I don't catch enough of the road. I switched to the windshield mount and hung it up side down and I do get better road coverage but it bounces. And yes I have tighted it on the ball as much as I can and it still doesn't help. Unit seems like it gets pretty warm too. The concept is good but not what is advertised. I don't mean to be so negative but I have to be honest...

Not for driving ! Slow customer support.
Purchased item with rear camera. Front camera picture was magnified and stretched to fit the screen. This made it difficult to get a clear image. I had to use the window mount and the ball joint would not lock and kept rotating. Frustrating. Rear camera was clear, good picture and the wire length was long enough for a truck. The rear camera does not come with guides to assist in backing up but picture was fantastic. I tried to contact the manufacture, which only provides an email but they did not respond to several attempts and I had to return it. I would NOT recommend using this to drive by as there advertising suggests.Update: After posting the review, I did receive an email, with an apology explaining is an unintended mistake and they have fixed the problem. The answer to my original questions are below.Q1: the front camera picture is stretched. It appears to be magnified and stretched. Is this normal?A1: Yes it's normal. LANMODO NVS is designed for safe driving at night, so the front camera picture will be a little bit magnified and stretched, and looks nearer than in reality, to remind driver to keep distance.Q2: the window ball joint is lose and does not hold the camera steady. I have tighten as much as possible. What should I do?A2: Have you tightened the both screws? One is on the ball and the other one is on the side of suction cup. And you must lock the suction cup to keep it stable when attached to the windshield

The first time I used it, it saved lives
I've had this in the car since I purchased it in June but hadn't been driving at night to test the night vision quality until recently. That came up about a week ago coming back from the grocery store. I live a ways out of any city near farms, so this image is me driving between corn fields. As you can see, you can see incredibly well with the lights off. With them on, it greatly extends the range you can see. Obviously obey traffic laws and don't drive just looking at the camera, but for those super dark stretches of road, it's good to glance at to avoid deer. Now on to how right after this photo it saved lives. After this I arrived at my neighborhood, which has no street lights. I was coming around a 90° turn and a couple with their stroller on an evening walk, seemed to think right after this turn in my lane, wearing all dark clothing and no light source, IN THE PITCH DARK was a wise place to be. The way they were positioned, my headlights didn't hit them but I glanced at the camera because it was so dark and that split second is what kept me from turning into them. Right there it saved 3 lives and showed how worth it, it is. If you live where there's no street lights or frequently drive at night, this is ABSOLUTELY worth it.
