They look fine and I believe will be trustworthy to secure the strap to the guitar. They are smaller than I thought they would be, but would have been harder to get on if much bigger. As long as they hold, this is a fine purchase. Can't see why they wouldn't. Be sure to put them in the correct position and use the washers. Edit: Having had these for some time now, I can say these are right up there with a Wharaburger! They are excellent and extremely secure. Great purchase. I may put these on everything from here on out. EDIT: I've had the 1st pair for quite some time now and they are excellent. Just rec'd a 2nd set for my other bass. I feel these are underpriced to be honest.

I installed these on my ESP E-II M-II guitar and they fit. Simple installation, the screws fit perfectly, no problem at all. I liked how flexible they are, you can choose to put them horizontally or vertically or loosen the screws a bit and you get a dynamic flexible button move along with your strap, yet it is secured and do not come off. The material made of is not metal but looks sturdy, doesn't feel cheap at all, i liked it more than guitar stock buttons.

If your strap end is stiff, you may find these a pain to get on and off, but they hold great and look fabulous, I use rubber strap lock washers anyway and each guitar has a dedicated strap that stays on for the most part, so I only have to struggle with them once. They hold so well that id have to say that the strap locks I use are probably unnecessary unless the strap end is just so loose it falls off. I use them anyway but I love these also for the cool look, I have them in black, gold , and chrome

Nice looking pins for guiter or ukelele strap. Need to drill instrument to install. Screws are soft.

All My Guitars Have these and the Planet Waves Locking Straps. The straps are nothing fancy, but nothing is easier to use, and they're just as safe or safer than anything else out there. And they're so Insanely Inexpensive. I don't want my guitars to end up as "Project" guitars on Ebay... I bet neither do you. The Cheapest Insurance you can get for your Guitar. AND... The End Pins Look Awesome as well. I have them in All Colors, Chrome, Black, and Gold. Instead of having little unsafe, stud, rivet things poking out of your guitar... put these on and see the difference. Then tug on your strap a bunch of times... unless your strap is worn out junk, it won't come off. It's generally not so noticeable consciously for others, BUT... I know from general design of man or nature... and landscaping... CURVILINEAR LINES People. That's one of the reasons I totally liked these from the start. They go with the flow of the lines on your curvilinear styled guitar. The Eliptical Shape goes perfectly with good design attributes. Accept for cigar box types and weird odd guitars, you generally don't see square sharp lines. You don't need any bizarre expensive screwed in guitar modifying strap lock lug things... get a set of these, screw out the old, screw in the new... Done! ...Next!

A guitar strap pin is - a strap pin right? Well yes, however if you've been around older instruments and had the violin type decide to leave at an inopportune moment, well you are aware of what can go wrong. The Elliptical End Pins takes instrument security to a different level. As the name of the product indicates, this is not a round end pin, but egg shaped. It is meant to be installed with the points of the ellipsis at 90 degrees to the strap hole. This "locks" it on the strap and gives it security ... it works. It can be difficult if you want to remove the strap on a regular basis but ... it is secure. And the black ones - well it just modified a few of my instruments with a bit of stealth bling. (Can such a thing exist?) One other thing not readily mentioned in the posting of the product. It comes with two sets of different size screws to replace the ones you've removed - or are adding and - the normal unobtanium item of a set of hardened o-rings to protect your instrument from the abrasion caused on the guitar body by normal usage. I got the black ones to match a black Henderson Motorcycle t-shirt. And I feel better about that.

I've had 3 sets of straplocks fail me over the years. 2 sets of schallers and one set of the dunlops and another dunlop strap lock had the ball bearings seize up and refuse to go into the hole on the guitar's strap peg. Enough is enough. My uncle's old ibanez road star guitar had these cool boomerang shaped strap pegs that made it easy to get the strap on but nearly impossible for it to accidentally rotate or get pulled off. These elliptical pins mimic this design so that you can easily slip the strap on but as I've discovered after a few gigs now, getting the strap to rotate to the perfect angle necessary for it to slip off is HARD. If you orient the peg on the back of the instrument so that the points of the pin are facing the front and rear surfaces of the instrument, if you pick up the guitar and the rear part of the strap is in that wierd folded upside down (you know what I'm talking about) position, the strap can't get around the pin so it stays secure. HOWEVER, if you have the pin oriented so that the pointy edges are pointing down at the floor and up at you when you've got the guitar in your hands, you can see how the strap hole could easily poke through and fall off. So make sure you orient these pins so that the pointy ends are not facing towards you/the floor.

This is a good product! I got this for my Chinese Ruan. Took me some time to drill the hole and install it, but once it’s on, it works perfect. Now I’m able to attach a guitar strap to it.
