Great!
This phone is built to be dropped and be okay. The built on case is great! I don't use the face recognition or the fingerprint function. It has 2 speakers that really make a difference in sound quality, clear and loud. I had a Ulefone before this Cubot and it worked fine for my needs. The Cubot offers more than the Ulefone such as being logical to place the power button on the right side of the phone, and the volume buttons ON THE LEFT SIDE. Easier to maneuver and complete the function you want. I am 66 years young and would recommend the Cubot King Kong 5 Pro. Wish they came with a rose gold colored case that's shiny but durable. 💃

( REBOOTS) ... Cuts on and off
I was doing the star part and I now it Burns My hands. Can't use forgot about how the fingerprint is useless. You can't hold the phone without it going crazy, because it is on the side of the phone where people's hands naturally grab onto the phone. I miss a text and calls ALL OF THE TIME now. This phone just reboots itself. I mean A LOT. I purchased a few other phones on Amazon because of the T-Mobile deal where all data is being switched over to GSM and no longer CDMA. So, I was constantly looking FOREVER reading about every phone I have purchased, but they WOULD NOT WORK! I was told by my company, it just wasn't new enough to be compatible. So... I got tired of trying. At least it has the calls and text working on this device, but I can't stand how it just turns on and off non-stop And I had to go into the settings and my phone company told me how to put a lot of stuff into the phone so I could send and receive pictures messages. It was ridiculous! I just said oh well, and I deal with the never-ending turning off and sometimes not back on. That's a LONG story all by itself... So, It's okay. I wished I had gotten something else because it hasn't stopped. It also will not let me use the sd card when I tried for storage. It knows the card is in there, but it still would not work no matter what it said to change.

Excellent, as advertised
Iv beat this phone up and dropped it many times....it's.been left out In the sun and had liquids spilled on it.... basically abusedThere's not one scratch on it, functions flawlessly.I enjoy how fast it is and the multi tasking ablities.... I can run Pandora and play a game or search the net.It has Lots of nice functions that my old phone didn't have.It takes great pictures.Battery lasts forever!I had some problems getting my data service to work, it turned out to be a setting within n the phone. You'll touch the fingerprint reader every time ya handle it, turned mine off eventually.A wider screen would be more to my liking, I'd buy one if it was available.

Broken on Day 2 (Updated with seller feedback)
The media could not be loaded. TLDR: I like the phone. Small gripes, overall nice product.******ORIGINAL REVIEW********I have the type of lifestyle/occupation that demands a rugged phone. This one in particular drew me in with promises of a long battery life and a very nice camera for the price point. What I was not expecting was for a rugged phone to be broken so easily.I didn't even do anything rugged with it; just using Google Maps to navigate out to a junkyard. I walked around the junkyard with it in my pocket (it never fell out) and by the time I returned to my car the touchscreen had a nasty dead-spot that prevents me from entering my pin to unlock the phone. Restarting it made the problem worse, as the screen now "ghost types" random numbers in and hits enter; rapidly getting my pin wrong over and over and triggering a timed lockout. This "rugged" phone has broken faster than my Samsung Fragility Q7+ did. Now, I would very much like to extend the benefit of the doubt to this company. Manufacturing flaws happen, and I am willing to accept that I may have truly received a defective unit. I have not yet heard back from the seller but I am eager to hear what they have to say about the situation. Therefore in the interest of being fair, I must admit that before the phone had broken it seemed quite promising. The thing is an absolute brick. Drop-proof? I believe it. It is so heavy I it would probably crash right through the floor and end as a crater in the basement. Waterproof up to 1.5 meters? I believe it. You drop this thing into 1.5m of water and that is how much water it will displace. If you were to accidentally drop it into the toilet while having a sit-down-visit it wouldn't even flinch; it would just respond with a Poseidon's Kiss so horrendous that even Zeus would blush. I haven't needed to charge it yet because I am pretty sure it draws power from the fear it instills into the seams of your pants pocket.*********END ORIGINAL REVIEW********UPDATE:After a bit of the usual customer service runaround where Amazon pointed fingers at the seller and the seller pointed fingers at Amazon, I ended up just putting in for a return/replacement. That replacement arrived quickly and has been working well thus far. So here is my fairest feedback:Yeah this thing works for what it says, but be aware of what you want out of a phone. This particular phone is not great for activities where you are on the phone for hours at a time (mostly due to the weight of it) BUT if you want a phone that feels indestructible this thing oughta fill that role. I myself am a prototype designer, so I spend a lot of time in shop spaces and junkyards and places of the greasy/dusty/rusty nature. I also spend a lot of time outdoors so for my lifestyle this thing is doing well thus far! Have only had to charge it twice in over a week of owning it.Here is why I only give it 4 stars out of 5:1) The design feels awkward in the hand. Bulky I can deal with, but some things are just oddly placed. For example, the fingerprint sensor is located such that you cant really avoid touching it, and the sensor doesn't work that well anyway. Also the volume buttons are placed directly opposed to the screen lock button, so every time i go to adjust the volume the pressure from my hand on the other side of the device often causes the screen to lock.2) No auxiliary cable for headphones. Don't take this the wrong way; I can handle bluetooth just fine. But sometimes maybe all I have are my cheap ear buds. They include a set of headphones that use the USB-C port, but that is the same port used for charging. So you won't be charging and plugging in headphones at the same time (not that I expect this situation to arise often considering just how long the battery lasts). Just feels like another backwards innovation that companies are following simply because Apple did it first, not because it is a good idea.3) Getting the cable ports open feels like wrestling the food out from the back of your dog's mouth. On one hand, I am encouraged to see that an alleged waterproof phone has some heavy duty cable port covers. On the other hand, sometimes I am drunk and want to plug my phone in before I pass out.4) Speakers on the back of the phone. Never understood this from a design point of view. It isn't hard to at LEAST have speakers on the edge. But let's agree that speakers on the front of the phone (ya know, where the screen is located) is ideal. Maybe their engineers know something I don't.Something to clarify; I am a designer. My entire job is pointing out the problem areas of products, so I listed these things just so people understand my gripes. Overall I do actually quite like the phone. I think another generation of this design could really knock things out of the park! As it stands, I only really have minor complaints. And I do mean minor. It is a reasonably priced murder weapon, not a $1200 branding icon that will crack a screen if you look at it from the wrong angle.

Cool until it died
I'll start with the good. It was a cool looking phone. I love the design. Battery life was excellent. The camera was pretty good, if you could get it to focus right. It was glitchy all around, and the most frustrating was I would receive calls but couldn't do anything about it. Can't answer or ignore, phone just kept ringing until I restarted it. It would sometimes drop the lte connection too. And I'd restart it.Anyway, today I restarted it again as I normally did, and it just won't turn back on. I had the phone less than 4 months and it stopped working. If it still worked, I'd give it a 4nstar review despite the glitches because the waterproofing worked well, the battery was awesome happy wi[h the camera and the design was awesome. If you are looking to get a new phone in 3 months, this is your product.Oh well
