Hot Cold Bag | Grocery Size | 10-Pack

This is a re-order. I've been using them for years, and they are the perfect solution for my grocery shopping - all year round! They are lightweight, hold a lot of items, last quite a long time, and keep products cold. I'm elderly and often too tired to unload the whole car following a shopping trip. I just grab for the thermal bags, knowing they hold my frozen and refrigerated items - perfect! D.

UPDATE- I used these again for a hot dinner for our first responders! One had chili and a little spilled inside but it was contained in the bad and not my car! Plus the food stayed hot! I used these for Thanksgiving Dinner. I made dinner for about 20 people and had to drive just over an hour. All the food was warm and the stuff I took out of the over was still hot. These are bags that can been used for maybe 10 times if your easy on them. That’s why they are cheap. But they are made well!!! They did the trick for me on keeping food warm for just over an hour in the car!

We recently moved from the city to a property in the country well outside of town - my drive from the grocery store to home is about 30 miles. I purchased these to transport perishable groceries - especially dairy and frozen items - back home. I have used these with frozen meat, milk, and refrigerated desserts and they all were still frozen or cold just as when I left the store back in town. A couple of weeks ago I purchased frozen meat at the local meat locker and ran errands for a couple of hours after that. Arriving back home about 3 hours later on a 85 degree day, everything was still frozen and had not thawed a bit. I also recently used these to pick up pizza at a local pizzeria about 20 miles away and the pizza and breadsticks were still warm when I arrived home. These are definitely worth every penny and I will certainly buy more in the future if I need more. One thing to note is that these will only hold a small pizza. The medium pizza would not quite fit in the bag, so I plan to purchase a few of the jumbo size bags as well.

I am returning this bag because I just don't like that the top does not seal all the way across. Clearly this lets any accumulated cold air from the refrigerated products to leak out, creating a less-cold environment and less time to stay cold inside and insulated. There's a couple inches, say, between each snap for a little gaping but mostly I don't like that the snaps stop about 2" or so on each end. That's where I think most of the cold air can escape. Other than that, it appears well-made and heavy duty. IF they used something like Velcro all the way across it might then be ideal. When not in use, it takes up very little space, folds in half and appears to be quite "hearty" in build. I DO agree that the giant, XL box it came in (shown in another's picture) is ridiculous - more than 3X larger than necessary. Such a waste. The little box we're shipping it back in is the size of a folded-in-half newspaper and 2/3" thick.
