Taylor Pork Roll 6 Oz. (8 Pack)

Taylor Ham or Porkroll is an old New Jersey sandwich snack that is generally unavailable in the West. I ordered this product for nostalgia reasons. The Taylor product arrived well-packed, cooled, and in good condition. The price was high, but when you have to import something from one coast to the other, you have to expect that. Although the flavor is very mild compared to what I remember, I’ve made some very nice and satisfying sandwiches. I’ve stored the rest in the freezer. It was good to go back to those Boardwalk days!

ordered and the package arrived in proper condition - was going to order another 8-pack but the price went from around $42 to almost $70 in only a couple of weeks. Not sure why that is but it's very disappointing to see the crazy increase. tastes great like the good 'ole days though

This is true Jersey Pork Roll. I like thick slices so I can chop a few to add to omelets or casseroles

I was not happy with the item I ordered. When I received my pork roll it was all wet from the ice pack it was sent in and the boxes were all wet and had to be taken out of the package. I don't know if the pork roll was already frozen or not so I could not freeze them again. they were not what I thought they should have been. I will not purchase them again.

You can buy a loaf but my local grocery deli didn't originally want to slice it for me: something about COVID! Didn't make sense to me. The loaf is smaller in diameter which I didn't like so these are the right thickness, are larger in diameter and come sliced. All you have to do is snip them around the edges and put them in the skillet. I bought several and the keep well in the freezer. I've learned this is a Jersey thing. I grew up in Northern VA and never heard of this until I married into my wife's family. Guess where they were from. They called it Taylor's ham but anyway it's good for breakfast.

I would have rated this a 5, but the cooling bags in the box were melted. Good product though!
