New to Pantera...
First off Im a black man... not that it means anything but you'll see why i started with that as u read.... i pride myself in the fact that i listen to alot of different music. i do gospel, rap, jazz, classical, R & B. But i could never get a rock/metal group that i could get into. i was used to the 80's and 90's rock like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Queen and other older groups. Then somehow recently someone put me on to Marilyn Manson and i thought, upon listening to it was crazy and i searched for more. So i started listening to Korn, Drowning Pool, and i even tried The Perfect Circle but i couldnt find that one album that made me say wow. So Im in this deli and im listening to this guys radio and I heard "Walk" and i was hooked. I went and downloaded (legaly from amazon) some of there songs (Walk, I'm Broken, Piss). But then the songs from this album Vulgar Display of Power stood out so much that i had to buy the album. I know I'm new to this but track for track this album is nuts!!!! Crazy gitar, some beats that alot of rappers need to sample especailly "I'm broken") To me its just a great album. And the fact that people only gave it one to two or even three stars need to be drug tested... The funniest part about listening to Patera and other heavy metal songs is the reaction i get where i live. I have to be the only blackman in queen blasting Patera... I pull up at a light and the people next to me roll there windows up... LOL (funny shit)... My wife knows when I'm home from work because its hitting so hard... Great Sh*t!!!!

Vulgar does not rhyme with Vulva
It's a vulgar display of riffage. Dimebag is the riff master general, bro! Ain't no thang but a chicken wang. Makes up for the first 4 glam metal albums with a singular thrust of man chunk in your face. What am I talking about? I really don't know. Buy this album or be the poser that I think you are.

The original is still the best sounding version.
The remasters for Pantera have been mostly not quite what they could have been through to Far Beyond Driven. In your face loudness and typically no room for anything to breathe. It's absurd that this form in mastering is so prevalent, because putting in this disc and still today it is almost near perfection. A new scan and this same mix plus maybe just a touch more bass and loundness would have been fantastic for a remaster, but no they couldn't do that for us. Luckily, this one still sounds classic, and it's one of the best metal recordings ever put to tape. Nothing much needs to be said about the actual record itself. It speaks volumes about the band and the growth they went through in their prime. The original record from 92 is DR10 and it uses most of its peaks as well. The 20th anniversary remaster has been crushed back to DR6, but it does still sound decent. A few of the songs like Mouth For War might even sound better with added depth and clarity, yet still too loud, but others like This Love just sound way off and too crushed for the music. They really could have just done something like a DR7-10, and this would have been nearly perfect with the extra bass and clarity. A missed opportunity for sure on the remaster. Luckily, you can crank the original, and it's still awesome.

One of the greatest metal albums of all time
The vinyl looks cool (like a shiny blue finish) and plays fine. I won't get into the music itself, since all metal fans know that this is one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time. Pantera forever.

This album is one of the best metal album ever produced. Dime was one of the best guitar player ever lived. So if you love Pantera then you won't think not even once before buying it but even you are not a Pantera fan or even a new comer to metal you won't regret buying it. Walk has the most simple yet catchy riff ever produced and everybody enjoys it. Rest of the album is really heavy(as expected from Pantera) yet groovy/ If you want to get inspire or wanna know what heavy metal or 90's music really tastes like then you should definitely buy it. And ofcourse Amazon delivers all the stuff i order right on time so no problem with the service at all.
