Defective product
Vacuum function does not work. Sealing is fine but 100% air will remain in bag.

Strong Suction and Reliable Sealing
I’m really happy with the Anova Culinary Vacuum Sealer. It has strong suction that pulls the air out quickly and effectively, and it seals the bags nicely without needing a second pass. The slim, compact design makes it easy to store, and the included pre-cut BPA-free bags are convenient for getting started right away. I also like that it works well for both wet and dry foods, which makes it useful for meal prep, sous vide cooking, and long-term freezer storage. Food saver necessity
This Anova vacuum sealer is exactly what I needed for my small kitchen. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and seals bags tight every time. I really like the slim design — it fits perfectly in a drawer when not in use. It doesn’t have a built-in bag cutter, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me. For the price and size, it’s a solid buy. Highly recommend for anyone who meal preps or uses sous vide at home.

Solid basic vac packer!
Full disclosure here... I've used chamber vac sealers for the last 20 years. Dip type, chamber etc. I also own a vacmaster commercial chamber sealer at home. Now... I needed one for the cottage (the vacmaster is ~80lbs... not good for travelling). For sealing meats etc when deals are good. also for sousvide and other stuff. So.... This unit does the job fantastically. Great suction, solid seals and good duty cycle (i.e. 5-20 seals at a go). No issues so far and I'm about 100 seals in. Considering Anova and the other products I have from them (support etc)... I highly recommend. Does it have a holder for bags? no. Does it have an aux port? yes! Does it have a cutter? No. The seal process relies on you clipping down both sides with physical clips... GOOD choice Anova. Does it require proprietary (i.e. only from Anova) bags? No. In summary.... worth every penny.
