It works as advertised!
Purchased for my girlfriend after she tore her meniscus and damaged her ACL. Her surgery was set out for several weeks. After putting it on she was so happy it reduced the pain and stress on the knee for her. She is now able to power through work days in the medical field with the brace. She is 5’5’’ 125lbs all the straps were all too long but had a cool way to adjust them for her smaller size and now it fits perfectly. However I do suggest also buying a knee brace sleeve with it because how tight you need to wear it and it bothered her overtime throughout a work day. Now she has the brace and sleeve she can’t be stopped. She is still working and going to the gym working on things she can do until her surgery date comes.

Brace doesn’t last
This brace starts out good but after about a month of daily wear, the hinge starts to slip. I thought it was user error but I’ve returned it 3 times and the same thing keeps happening. Now i know it’s just poorly made. Unfortunately the window to return this brace has passed and I’m forced to keep the brace that I can no longer use. Very frustrating and disappointing because it really helps with my pain, too bad the brace keeps falling apart

It helped but not as much as I thought it would
I've got bad knees and have tried all types of knee wraps/brace, but was not aware of this type of knee brace until I saw a video of it on-line so I decided to order one. Putting this on wasn't too bad, but I suggest using a sleeve before using this for more than a few hours. There are cushions that go underneath the straps that's supposed to help prevent irratation, but there are wavy designs on the custions. I had mine on for about 10 hours and when I took off the brace, the cushion left red welts on my leg and has not gone away even after three weeks. Use a sleeve if you can.The brace isn't very heavy, but it's not going to really matter once you start walking with it on. The fit was very good and even without a sleeve, the brace stayed in place all day. For the price I paid for the brace it was built okay. There is a hex screw that you need to adjust depending on what kind of damage you have on your knee. The metal on the hex screw seems to be a little soft as when I was ajusting the pad that goes in and out by the knee, the screw kept slipping as if it was getting stripped. Now on to whether or not this thing helped. For the price, I expected it to take some of the stress/pressure off the inside of my knee (torn meniscus). Seeing multiple videos of this brace in action, I expected the adjustable pad to push into my knee to remove some of the pressue from the inside knee. Well, it didn't do that. The pad barely touched my knee, even with turning the hex screw as far as it could go. I couldn't tell any difference between using this unloader brace from my other braces. For the money, I don't think it was worth it.However, the thing I do like about this compared to other braces is that it does a good job with controlling the side to side movement and there is nothing pressing against the meniscus. I have a couple braces that have the metal side support that slides into the the brace. The problem with those braces is once I strap them in place, the metal sides on the inside of my knee sometimes presses up against the meniscus, and when that happens it's instant pain. With this brace you won't have that issue which is probably the main reason why I like this brace over the other. If you're thinking about getting this brace I suggest checking out the videos on-line. There are many that talk this brace up, but there are some that go over the "not so good" about these braces.

Works a treat!
We bought this for my husband- he's got bone on bone action in his knee, it's unstable and he has been unable to walk even short distances without pain and leg fatigue. This brace has helped him tremendously! He feels steady, his leg doesn't tire as easily and he can walk a lot farther with the brace on.The brace fits nicely under his pants and is secure without cutting off circulation. Two thumbs up!

excellent brace for aging knees
I have two of these braces, one for each knee. They're designed to take pressure off the damaged parts of my knees and they have been doing that. (I am a 75 year-old pickleball player.) This would be a five-star review except:The instructions for installing the metal pieces that limit your motion (an important feature) are scant. By removing one screw, the piece can be taken out and replaced with one that better fits your needs. The velcro on the straps is somehow super-sticky. Seems I have to fight with it every time I put the braces on or take them off. Those minor complaints aside, the braces have been working perfectly for me for several months.

Have had knee problems for a while and this has really helped give my knee the support it needed .
I have had arthritis in my knees since I was in college in the early 80s, and have sometimes had flareups in one knee or the other (rarely both at the same time, fortunately), with surgery required only a few times over the years. Each time I've seen a doctor for a flareup, they usually give me something to provide support to the offending knee until it returns to normal - the support solutions have ranged from a simple Ace bandage wrapping to a complete calf-to-thigh wraparound brace with Velcro closures and metal hinges on the sides to allow some flexibility for walking, none of which have been both effective AND comfortable.Just over 2 months ago, I suffered a torn meniscus in my right knee and, due to extenuating circumstances, I was unable to see an orthopedist until last week; I needed a brace that was both supportive and comfortable so I would have mobility until then. The Komzer Direct brace has a rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars, with 56% of the ratings be 5 stars. It's specifically recommended for a arthritis because of it helps stabilize the kneecap while providing support for the ligaments around the knee.I've worn my Komzer Direct brace almost every day for over 2 months and will continue to wear it until my knee replacement surgery in September. It takes less than a minute to put on or take off, provides comfortable support.
