OUTBURST; with UPDATED TOPICS

This was a little expensive but our family had a great time playing it. It was complete and well packaged.

We did enjoy this game but it is extremely outdated. I would have given it a much higher score if the cards were more relatable to current times. I would recommend this product for the 50-60 year old and up.

This game is interesting and educational. We have enjoyed this game as a family for many yeras. We highly recommend it.

It’s not clear to me how they can sell this game at this ridiculous price when the game cards haven’t been updated since sometime well before the year 2000. Check the reviews which all almost all extremely old and I couldn’t find a single reference from the game manufacturer or distributor that indicates this is an updated version. We purchased in March and just played in June so our refund window is closed - otherwise this game would be going back, back, back! Very disappointed

Our family loves this game, but the only drawback is that this is the Canadian version of the updated cards. Many times, we pulled out a card that made absolutely no sense to us, simply because the answers pertained to something that was so specifically Canadian. I am ashamed to admit that we do not know more about our closest neighbors to the north, but there it is. Otherwise, on the upside, we do learn a lot about Canadian culture, and some French to boot, as we go through the cards. So, this game is fairly educational.

We have played this game so many times since receiving it.... it's everyone's favorite for game night!!! Buying one used was definitely the way to go, I saved a lot of money as the new ones are pretty dang pricey for a board game. And the best part is that the game truly was SLIGHTLY used, and in great shape!!! If you don't have this game, don't hesitate to buy it, you won't be sorry! Even had I bought a brand new one at a higher price, I'd not of regretted it. Awesome game!

The updated version of Outburst does have new categories and answers. More importantly it has improved the "reader" and cards from a format that had been horizontal to one that is now vertical. The cards are easier to read and the scoring is easier to keep track of. New AND Improved as far as I'm concerned.

I played Outburst growing up and really enjoyed it. It's a great game for a group of people. Growing up, we played the origional edition, and the categories really were dated (I'm not THAT old!). We always joked that the game is made in California (which it is) because the answers to the questions were sometimes very odd and obscure. Well, for this one, don't expect too much better. The categories are updated maybe by a decade which is fine, but the answers are still very "Californian". Great game, just don't expect to get 10 out of 10 answers every time!
