Portwest US440 3XL Black Classic Rain Jacket

I am a technician and work outside in all weather. What makes choosing rain gear difficult in my line of work is that fully water proof gear doesn't breath so it's easy to overheat but breathable gear isn't actually waterproof and soaks through eventually. I wasn't expecting much from this jacket given the price but saw good reviews so decided to give it a try. This is an excellent jacket. It is 100% waterproof thanks to the PVC coating. And since the jacket is so thin that overheating isn't an issue. Its as light as a windbreaker. I regularly wear it over a hoodie and don't get hot in it. I have also worn it over my snow jacket while snowboarding in rain/snow mix conditions and I couldn't even tell i was wearing it. Since the material isn't very thick I won't be surprised if I end up tearing it some day but so far it's proven to be quite durable and for the price I wouldn't mind having to repurchase every now and then.My only complaint is that the pockets are pretty useless if care about what's in them staying dry. The cover of the pocket is just a flap and if you put anything with some weight to it in the pocket it weighs it down and creates a gap that allows rain right into the pocket. Not a deal breaker for me but may be for some.

I got this as a "just in case" for my car. So far I've used it a couple times at work when we got a couple of those surprise downpours. Fits well and keeps the water off me. I like the fact that it has a hood. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

VERY cheaply made! First time I wore it, I went to take it off and the sleeve ripped down by the wrist. I checked the other side to see how it was put together and found a small rip on that side as well. It'll keep you dry as long as it will hold together.

I needed a larger rain jacket than what I could find in the store so I had to go online. I was worried that it might be junk as I was unfamiliar with the brand but for the price it was worth the risk. I've been happy with it. Not as fragile as I worried it would be. I keep it in my work supplies and it gets rough treatment sometimes but it has held up well.

excellent!!!I've been looking for a polyester version of a raincoat forever and let me tell you it was worth the wait I was sitting there checking Adidas Nike Fila anyone who had one with a hood I had to look across the ocean to get this one and no disappointment here!!!

Very bulky and impossible to move in. I was hoping for something useable. This would be fine for sitting at a stadium during a downpour, but otherwise fairly useless. The cinches at the wrists are really uncomfortable and how often is the rain blowing up your arms anyway? The hood is too bulky too and not removable.

I was very impressed.. first off it showed up 4 days ahead of schedule which was great.. and the quality of this thing is not bad at all especially for 16 bucks.. if you're thinking about this product you have no worries and after you receive it you'll see what I mean

Product is very poorly made and uses cheap material. When I first received it, it seemed like it used decent material and the quality looked okay. I went to try it on and it ripped as the rubberized material gripped against my arm. Maybe my jacket was defective? Either way, buy a nicer jacket or get a cheap rain poncho. No way this would stand up to actual use outside.

Coat is as advertised. Size is correct. I ordered a little big to fit a sweater under it (3xl). It is just a shell, no lining. Came early, shipped from England. Great price! Wore it once so far, went for walk in the rain.
