"SEASIDE COTTAGE" CAT HOUSE, ACTUALLY
This cat / dog house is the perfect size for a large cat or small dog. I love the porch for feeding in wet weather. It's so easy to assemble. Took about 15 minutes, but only bc the 2 springs for the roof are super HARD to retract and I finally decided not to install them. The roof is heavy enough on it's own to stay down, but light enough to pick up and open. Nice quality roof shingles. During the colder months (of FL weather), I plan on blocking the porch off with plywood and placing a heater on the "porch" to blow into the arch doorway into the room. I removed the 2 bars that are in the window, bc my cat needs an escape route from intruders (racoons & coyotes). But be careful, that trim is semi glued on and you will need a razor knife and small thin chisel to pry off. Nice, thick, clear door flap. I love the look quality all around. Very pleased. btw: chemical smell left the house when placed outside after a few hrs.

Makes my cats happy
I have had this little pet house more than a year. The cats love it. They sit on the porch when it rains and on the roof when it's sunny. Easy to put together and has held up very well being outside year-round. Would recommend and would buy again. I love the colors.

Best feral stray cat house!
This is so well built. It is also very functional and well designed. If this is a cat house for outdoors (how we are using it for a stray cat), you need to remove the window bars (you can bend them with your foot and take them out) because outdoor cats need an extra escape door in case of an intruder. First day we set it out, our stray cat went right in--a little catnip helps! Really pleased with the design and materials, even real shingle roof! Real wood, just great design. I added insulation panels in the room and put in an outdoor rated heating pad that fits in there nicely! I bought the "022 Upgraded Outdoor Pet Heating Pad with Timer,Safety Cat Dog Heating Pad,Waterproof Heated Animal Bed Mat,Adjustable Warming Mat with 6 Levels Temperature & 4 Timers Auto Off Chew Resistant Cord" and ran the cord out the floor in the corner. I also added insulation panels in the ceiling. I just used "soundproof acoustic panels" and some styrofoam and jammed it in the sides. I also added a door flap to the room. Just look online for "Replacement Flaps" for pet doors. Our timid stray cat pal is going to be warm and cozy all winter in his tiny house.

Smallest House with the Porch . . . Cute, but some issues . . . Keeping it and going to use it
I purchased the smallest size (33 x 25 x 23); it is the one with the porch. . . And it is simply adorable, but I give it 3 stars . . . Please be advised that the little window is simply an opening with two bars--there is no plexiglass. I am going to use this for a feral cat in cold weather, so I need it enclosed. For the time being, I took a piece of foam packing from the shipping box, cut it to size, and duct taped it like crazy from the inside to keep air from coming in. I used rice paper (from the shipping box) to cover the floor and the edges of the floor. Then I put a very thick layer of straw all around the edges and on the floor to insulate it. We'll see if the kitty uses it.I was able to assemble everything but the roof in less than an hour. I was ready to place the screws to keep the roof ON, but ... the holes simply do not match up!! I will eventually have a carpenter friend figure out a solution. In the meantime, the roof is sitting on top, and since it is heavy, I am not worried about it. It's stable as it is for now.I would prefer a nice, heavy cathouse made from plywood like my dad used to make, but I think this is not bad. If the roof had attached correctly, I would have given 4 stars. If someone wanted to use this indoors for a small dog or cat, I think it would be very cute, also!!Edited to add two more photos. I had a friend cut a piece of thick plywood to place on the open end of the porch. He also easily finished putting the roof on, so that was my bad--I didn't see the holes for the screws--turns out they were there all along. I painted the new board a matching gray, and am pleased with the house, so I have added a star right now. The feral cat does enter the porch of this house to eat his food, but I am not sure if he has slept in it yet.

Best house for cats!
I bought this so my elderly cats can "go outside" and enjoy the breezes, given that coyotes are a threat in our neighborhood. Overall, it was very easy to put together, and it is VERY well made. Modifying it wasn't too bad either. First, I used a staple gun and stapled screening (that's usually used for window screens) around the open corner and in the window area. Then I used my dremel tool to make an opening in the back. Next, I installed a cat flap in one of my window screens. I had to find something to raise the house so it sits in front of one of the windows of our human house -- that turned out to be the bottom two shelves of a heavy duty plastic shelving unit. The biggest challenge was getting the cat house as close to the human house window because the human house's window has a 3" ledge. But once the cat house was in position, it works like a charm -- my cats can now "go outside" (by going through the cat flap into the cat house) when I open that window. Because the top of the cat house opens easily, it's very easy to clean too.

Cute
I bought this for my cat who would rather be outside. The size is perfect for her. She’s a little chunky if you know what I mean lol. She loves it and sleeps in it on cool or cold nights. Even rainy days/nights she’d rather be in there. With that being said the old saying you get what you pay for is true here. The material used to make this item is cheap!!! It would not hold up out in the weather for a long time. The finish that came on it was awful. I had to go purchase paint and paint it before putting it together. The slats in the bottom doesn’t fit securely so I had to put tool box liner in the bottom to keep cold or water from coming in from the bottom. I wish I would have known this before buying because I would have put the extra money I spent in a better made dog house.
