The price is a little tough to swallow however nothing compared to losing your MacBook. Why Apple doesn't include this feature is beyond me but if you have a MacBook Air this is a great little device.

I was very careful to select a lock adapter that is advertised as working with the MacBook Air 2018 model. I attached the Ledge Security Lock Slot Adapter exactly as described in the instructions that came with the product. Once attached, the lid does not fully close on the side with this lock adapter. It creates a small lip that does not allow the lid to evenly close. If enough pressure is applied to the top of the laptop this could bend or crack the screen or laptop body. I tried to loosen it and move it around in hopes that it was just attached incorrectly, but had no luck. The pictures attached, show the side with the lock adapter and without. I also included a close up picture to try and show the overhang/lip on the top.On top of the first issue, I can fairly easily move the adapter back and forth even when tightened fully. I am pretty sure I could break it off without too much force.At best this adapter can be used by someone that does not need to close their laptop fully and only wants to use this as a deterrent for anyone trying to take the laptop.The only positive things I can say about this product are that the laptop at least still sits flat on a table with it attached and it does work with the standard T-bar cable lock.Overall this is a very expensive (overpriced) product that does not work as advertised.

It will serve its purpose of deferring opportunity thieves as far as I can tell, but it 1) does not let me close my computer fully when screwed in because the top is too thick, and 2) can easily be taken out by anyone with right screwdriver in seconds. I expected way, way more for the frankly ridiculous price (this thing should be $10 at the most). Unfortunately, I can't return it because I'm setting off for my trip tomorrow and need some way of locking my computer, but I really wish I could.

Stylish, integrates well with the laptop.Strong enough to disuade, not to ultimately avoid being stolen.It does exactly what it has to do. Easy installation, it's a great idea to include the screwdriver.

Works fine with standard style computer cable locks. I had misplaced my keychain with the table key lock that I had previously. I cannot locate the spare tube key :-( This lock works just great with another cable.lock I have and its a cable/lock that uses a numeric code instead of a tube key.

Perfect for me. I had purchased a lock from Maclocks for my Mac that didn’t fit (no idea why!) but this lock is so simple and no issues with fit. It’s a little beat up already so we’ll see how long it lasts but so far I’m pleased.

Made my Macbook Air wobble. Not a secure "lock" since anyone with a screwdriver could unlock.
