Q: Would this be good for a 7 year old? My childs current tablet will no longer charge.

My Father has an electronic mentality of a 6 year old, and he can use this. This would be perfect for a 7 year old!! It is very easy to set up and use. And also it has google service.

Q: Can it be used with t-mobile digits app?

I'm not sure what the question means. I am using a T-mobile phone SIM in my tablet.

It has dual SIM card slots, but no sim cards are included in the box. It is up to you to purchase one or two sim cards and insert them into the appropriate sim card slots. If you do not do this, the device has 2.4 GHz wifi capability, so you would need to log into a wifi access point in order to get data. You either have to have a data-compatible sim card installed in the tablet, or have wifi turned on and logged into a wifi access point. You can, of course, do both, at the same time.

Q: Can I use the tablet without wifi, just with sim cards? Or are the sim cards just for the phone?

Yes, you can use without wifi and it does have slots for SIM cards.
