So ive been using these for about a year now. For me, its been a good value for money spent on them. You cant expect much from ~$20 stones and the effectiveness also depends on the skill of the sharpener. I bought these as an absolute novice and it was a good investment to learn how to sharpen for cheap. I would not say these are high quality but is a good beginner quality. Im still going to continue to use them till I get better and feel I can move to a different professional stone like Shapton. I havent gotten razor sharp yet but ive gotten very sharp. One thing to note is definitely to let it dry completely for a few days after use. The first time I used it it had molded. Easy for me to clean up but just annoying.
