Amazing product! Tropical rainforest Mangove tour NO MOSQUITO BITES!!!
My husband and I just returned from a week long trip through Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica during rainy season with no bites! We put this balm on daily and walked through the National Park, a Mangrove river tour, though town, and sitting on our balcony (surrounded by wildlife) and didn't get bit even one time! It smells so nice, not chemically/deet based, and lasts all day! We will never go back to OFF, this stuff is the BALM!!!

reliable brand
Love this. Certified organic. Housed in a tin, this has a great blend of essential oils known to help ward off pests. The scent is strong and Long-lasting. The scent for me lasts about 4-5 hours before it becomes faint. From what I know, These essential oils should be safe for your dog (not sure about cats). You can try some on their collar. To me, the scent isn't as offensive as say peppermint oil. It has citronella, cedar, lemongrass, rosemary , geranium, in a emoillent wax base of castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, and beeswax. I can definitely smell the lemongrass/rosemary/cedar combo. It didn't irritate my skin but I like to rub some on my clothing (do a test first for staining). I didn't find it oily or greasy on the skin because it seem to sink in. As a bug repellent, different pests respond to different essential oils, so it's hard to cover everything. If you are the type that attracts them, I found This is added insurance to keep them away, but if you are hiking/walking in an infested area, swarming with say mosquitos, I can't guarantee that you will 100% be protected. I have tried other badger products (lip balms) , and they are consistent in quality and value. I think they are great company.

NOT made from real badgers!
I am a super clean person currently inside riding out the COVID catastrophe. I have a clean house, beautiful garden and the way I recycle my Arby's garbage actually sparks joy. Somehow teeny tiny little mosquito jerks spawned in my bedroom overnight. I know right? Vampire bug nightmare. Tear the building down! I was covered in welts from these blood beaky interlopers. So I jump on and order this as DEET is not my jam and look this packaging is cute ~ look at that little guy! Turns out it smells lovely, and this coming from someone who hates citronella. It smells more like being down wind of someone at Oregon's Country Fair, or a Renfaire minus the gamey turkey leg mixed with glitter makeup smell. Smells soft and lovely! Think cedar, lemons, and rosemary. Also IT WORKS! No more beak-nosed attacks from those fluid sucking freaks, it's all over. Thanks Badger! Also Badgers are complete bad-rasses and so is this balm. It's not a greasy salve, its easy to use and dig this (!) even though it was delivered in 108 degree heat, it arrived as a solid and all of it was even and perfect inside. Thanks Badger!!!!

Works in the Philippines during rainy season!
I brought a ton of mosquito repellent on my vacation to the Philippines because I was warned about the risks of mosquito-born illnesses. I used the heavy chemicals once, then compared this natural product after the chemicals burned my skin. The badger balm was just as effective, does not burn my skin, and smells good. I’m never going back to deet again.

Strong citronella scent
I bought it for baby, and the citronella caused a huge rash. Baby has had eczema, and this is highly recommended in "crunchy" circles.I was afraid deet would cause a problem, though I knew citronella could too, just hoped it wouldn't. Bummer. May be able to dilute and use for myself?
