Excellent knife.
First impressions, opened the package a few hours ago and haven't cut any trees down yet. This knife feels very solid, the full tang is exposed with a 90 degree edge, just like the spine, to spark those ferro rods . The plastic handle fits my hand well, very solid but wish it was a bit more grippy like the Mora Companion. Out of the box the blade edge was not sharp, but after awhile with the wet stone it now slices paper like a razor. I'm a newbie with the Scandi edge but am liking it, after a few yooootooob videos on how to sharpen the Scandinavian edge it is easy to get very sharp. The knife snaps securely into the plastic survival sheath, no way it will fall out by accident. The belt loop looks like fake leather but feels okay. The ferro rod snaps in very securely, it won't fall out, I have to rotate it and pull to get it out, it makes sparks. The diamond sharpener is built into the sheath, haven't used it.Overall an absolutely excellent knife, well worth the $76, you should never feel guilty spending money on good knives or books.Edit:After trying and exploring things I like the diamond sharpener for sharpening the spine, this can make it very sharp for making sparks with the supplied ferro rod, or even better, your ferro rod of choice.. To sharpen and hone the blade I will use my wet stone.

Worth the money
Look, we all know what we are getting with a Mora, it is the Bic lighter of knives- it’s inexpensive and it works. If you packed it in, you’re going to be glad that you have it. I own a lot of Moras, but this was my first “boutique” knife from them. Holy cow, big difference. It’s razor sharp out of the box, and a lot heftier than the Companion or other comparably popular knives from this manufacturer. The carbon looks great on the blade, and still has its integrity on the spine after some heavy usage as a scraper for natural tinder, and as a source of spark generation with flint. The edge of the blade (Scandi grind, so easy to maintain the apex) has more of a mirror appearance after some stropping. Even after I’ve done through some of my other Moras this is one I’ll still be using, or at the very least keeping as a part of my collection. If anyone figures out a way to use the scraper on the pommel that extends from the full tang, let me know!

Great knife
Beautiful knife with a sharp edge right out of the box. Carbon steel for striking ferro rod, full tang for strength and comfortable grip that fits my hand nicely. Sheath is very rigid and knife actually “locks” into it so it’ll stay put when I’m walking through thick areas in the woods. Very happy overall

Great "off-the-shelf" option!
This is a fairly sought after tool (Morakniv Garberg 4.3" (if I remember correctly) Carbon Steel Blade Synthetic Multi-Mount Sheath Black) with tons of demonstrations, reviews, critiques, et cetera on the internet so I don't need to go into the details. It's sturdy, holds an edge well, sharpens well...well I don't know that personally but the edge cleans up easily with a very fine stone and strop both with and without varying compounds, the handle is nice enough and useable in all weather...again I haven't actually used this in every kind of weather out there. It provides grip and control in the heat with sweaty palms, in the rain, in the cold (my experience includes nothing much below freezing), with the appropriate gloves on for the activities/weather. Obviously the thinner most durable gloves feel the best while using this knife if you cant use the naked hand. I did receive the genuine article and I'd gladly take another. I will be purchasing the Stainless Steel version probably with the leather sheath. That would be my single complaint, the sheath I opted for (There's nothing "wrong" with it, I just don't like it.)... easily replaceable though. As I meantioned, it's a sought after tool and that means there are plenty of leather workers/craftspeople that sell sheaths of a vasque variety and some custom as well. It's a good buy and if it's under $80.-$85. USD that's still (mid April 2021) a good deal on this "off-the-shelf" knife with a couple of sheath options. Morakniv really hasn't ever been a disappointment but this is only my 5th-6th product of theirs. The S.S. version will serve as a backup (nearly no maintenance so it's easy to just store and go) to the carbon version. It's another cool knife if nothing else. If you take care of it with caution, maintenance and propper use it can serve every purpose for which it was intended.

Awesome little knife! Buy one! You won't regret it!
LOVE this little knife. Feels great in your hand and definitely worthy of a "Camping / survival" knife. Make sure to get the add on "Survival Kit Garberg/Kansbol" fire starting kit to complete ensemble.
