Crave Pixel 5 Case, Dual Guard Protection Series Case for Google Pixel 5 - Forest Green

Love the double layer protection. There is a soft black plastic case, then the slightly grippy harder plastic over that for maximum protection. I like the thickness and texture of the case. It doesn't pick up dust, and the textures plastic is pretty scratch resistant. No marks on mine at all. The ONLY very mild complaint is the lips of the case. It doesn't come up as much as I hoped it would. At times I like to lay my phone face down on a table. The lips BARELY raise the screen off from the table. Love the design and the fingerprint circle is easy to access. Side buttons are super satisfying and has a nice clickiness to it and it has a nice chrome finish.

I took a chance on this case because of the price, and I'm glad I did! I've been using it for months now and haven't had any issues. It fits well and looks great on the phone. I'm quite clumsy and have dropped my phone many times, even once or twice onto the pavement while getting out of the car, and my phone is still perfectly fine. The most important feature for me in a case is the little raised lip on the front that keeps the screen from getting scratched, and this case has delivered well on that. It's not the highest lip, so it's really only useful on flat surfaces, but I find that it's perfect for my uses. I worried a bit that the silver button covers on the side would tarnish or chip, but after 4+ months they still look like new. I also like the texture of the case more than I thought I would. It adds just enough texture to not be slippery, but still feels nice in your hand. One issue I had when looking at other cases was the design of the opening for the fingerprint scanner, and this case is exactly what I was looking for. It has the slight slope that leads your finger to the scanner and leaves enough room for easy access. Over all a really nice case especially for the price, and I would definitely buy again! Update: after a year, the silver buttons had started to chip a tiny bit so I decided to order the same case as a replacement. I really like how this case fits and it is protective without being bulky, and for the price I don't mind replacing it when it gets a bit worn down.

****Update*** Just looked at the questions and answers section and someone from the Crave team addressed the fitment issues. Updating the rating to 5 stars, all around beautiful case. Just like the other reviewer, I am questioning if this will actually fit the Pixel 5. The hole at the top appears to be a hole for a possible microphone as it seems to measure a little smaller than headphone jack hole on my Note 9. This is the only reason I am giving it 3 stars, I will update + upgrade the rating if the phone truly does fit. However, the fit question aside. This case is really nice. Feels great in the hands and the forest green is just beautiful. Love the texture on the back and the nice chrome finished side buttons.

Best case I ever had for this phone. Super easy to insert, phone very well protected, doesn't attract dust so stays clean. makes the buttons more easily accessible.

Updating: I spoke with Crave support and they noted there was a misprint on the box; that indeed the case I received will fit the phone and the hole on top is for a space for the mic on top of the phone. They gave me a link to the specs of the phone which indeed shows the mic on top where the hole in the case is. I'm upping the rating to 4 stars because the quality of the case does look and feel quite good, and rapid response from support. When the phone arrives on the 30th I'll give a final review of the case and potentially upgrade to 5 star. (Editing to upgrade to a 5 star; Phone fits fine - great case!) Orig: The item received may not fit? It's listed specifically for the Pixel 5 6.0"; however - the box suggests "Dual Guard for Google Pixel 5.8" 2020 model." I gave 2 stars because the case looks quite nice - feels good in hand. However the Pixel 5 isn't due out for 18 more days (preorders arriving on Oct 30th) so I'm not sure if it's going to work. Happy to update the rating if I get the right case; The case I have again is listed as a 5.8" model (advertised as a 6") and also has a hole for a 3.5mm headphone jack (which the Pixel 4a is 5.8" and has a headphone jack) but the Pixel 5 is 6.0" and does not have a headphone jack. Someone help?!
