Complete garbage
Only holds a wifi signal for a few seconds, horrid to install, returned bought a different brand better quality one and it has never lost the wifi signal and did not need a cd to install like this junk. Bad, Bad, Bad,....does not work, beyond junk.

Great small adapter
Was able to just plug in and immediately recognized the device on Windows 10, no disk needed. The connection is stable and I get around the same download speeds as a wired connection. My speeds aren't the fasted to begin with but I don't notice any difference.Update: After using for a couple of weeks, it was starting to drop connection every couple of minutes or so. I also don't know if it is my computers fault, but it was getting extremely hot when plugged in. Just decided to return it.

Plug-and-Play
I installed Ubuntu Linux on an old Windows Vista laptop, but the operating system did not recognize the built-in WiFi adapter. I spent hours trying to get it to work, to no avail. I purchased this dongle and plugged it into an unused USB port and bazinga, I had WiFi. It was really that easy. The adapter came with a CD ROM containing device driver software, but it wasn't needed. It was totally plug-and-play.

To the manufacture
Value for your money, if it actually works. But, it needs some work with the hardware or software couldn't connect it to the computer. And, the simplest thing to do was to send it back.

MT7601U - Driver built into Linux kernel
Great backup wifi. It’s 2.4 GHz only. It’s super slow, but it bails me out of a jam sometimes when my primary wifi card has a driver problem up and I need to run another update to fix it.Driver is built into Linux kernel since forever so this wifi chip is supported by a lot of old and weird hardware. Very compatible.
