Worked well for my application - sound and thermal performance improvement of windows
I decided to add 1/4" thick optical-grade acrylic panels to friction-fit inside my window frames as both an improvement in sound resistance and as an additional pane for better thermal performance (of our old double-pane Andersen windows). I searched for a solution that would blend in with the medium-brown stained woodwork (so black turned out to be almost not noticeable), fit over the acrylic tightly (check!), and create a friction seal against the frame (check! - just be sure to make the panels the right size, accounting for the thickness of this trim seal and about half of the uncompressed size of the compressible neoprene bulb!), and this product fit the bill very well. I had to develop my own technique to miter the corners and install the seal so that it would look smooth (since I had never used anything like this before), partly based on watching some video and reading descriptions of how this type of product is installed, but after I got the hang of it, it was just a matter of duplicating those methods and results for every custom-sized acrylic panel that I had separately ordered. The gripper flap on the one side can make the installation want to tip and bend the gripping surface (which has small metal strips all along the length to help it hold onto the edge being trimmed), but this can be controlled by holding the trim material in position while using a rubber mallet to tap it onto the nearby section of acrylic. Any parts that got spread out by the tipping can be reshaped with the mallet, since the metal strips just hold the trim in place. This was much cheaper than paying anyone else to make and install a sound or thermal panel, but still not cheap, overall (much more expensive than installing that thin sheet sold for winterizing windows, but the latter does not help with sound, and it does not last long, either).

GOOD STUFF!
We have a 450 with a custom hauler bed. Has doors and top boxes that use this type of weatherstrip. Does a good job! Seems to be good quality rubber.

Great for Ground blinds
I bought a Terrain Range ground blind and added this trim on the window cutout of the blind. This blind had smooth side and a lip on it so that this trim would simply snap in place when you lined up the catch side of the trim with the lip side. I then bought door hinges and attached to (just under 1/4" thick) plexiglass. Seals the windows nicely and deer do not smell you in the blind with windows closed.

Worked perfectly to seal a Yamaha SuperJet hood! Enough to do the hood three times for less than one from eBay or other sites.
Worked perfectly to seal a Yamaha SuperJet hood! Enough to do the hood three times for less than one from eBay or other sites.I seem to go through at least one seal a year on my SuperJet and I have tried about a half dozen different things over the years.Liked the idea of one that pressed onto the hood and gave this one from Amazon a try. Same item is on eBay for $36 for an 8ft piece. This was $30 delivered for a 25' piece so I have the next two seals covered with this one piece. It was really easy to install. I did have to cut two notches where latch is so it could get around a reinforced tab that was perpendicular to the seal and that was easy with cutters. I just put it on the ski and you do have to make sure the hood is seated accurately but feels like it is going to work well. Only time will tell and I'll report back if it does not last long. I ride mine almost every day Spring, Summer and Fall so it will get a good test.

Well-made product . . .
My son's bass boat originally had carpeting and after years of use and neglect needed replacing. He decided to use Durabak (bed liner-type coating) instead of carpet. This left the compartment lids a little "off" in each recess so we bought this trim seal. It worked perfectly. We initially tried to bend it around the 90 degree angles of each compartment lid, but it became too hard to install. Instead, we cut the trim seal to length for each side of the lid and it worked well. I'm sure it isn't 100 percent water tight, but it allows the lids to close with some cushion and they now sit level. Has a factory-type look too.

Not much grip
The trim size matched my edge thickness but didn’t have really good grip. The “U “ part of the trim moulding wasn’t quite as deep as what I would have liked and didn’t have as tight a retention as the moulding it replaced. The metal in the spine was a little soft.

Excellent replacement 1/8 inch.
The media could not be loaded. The pvc trim arrived quickly via prime. Installs easily and was trimmable with kitchen scissors. Replaced 7 year old weatherstripping that was coming apart on 1/8 inch aluminum lids on a utility trailer.
