No, the burning value of vegetable oil is too low, and of course it will produce large smoke

What size wick does this lantern take????

I think it said a 3/ 4 inch wick...but my wick burns down super quick. I'm not sure if thats because the wick it came with is just cheap or that it needs a thicker wick? I'm leaning to the wick just being cheap material & burning faster that it should.
