Imagine 30th Anniversary Edition: 1

Imagine
This is a lovely, colourful book for children to look at, discuss and spot new animals each time they look at the pictures. It explores the familiar and unfamiliar - I especially love the Rainforest and Safari pages! I have used this with groups and classes in Foundation Phase and KS2 to capture children's imaginations, especially for geography, science and art. It also went down well when I used Deadly 60 clips to go with the pictures so the children could learn more about some of the creatures relating to our topic :)

has a torn page that is more torn than not torn and has a page missing from the back ( it has been cut out) It is also very dirt
This book was sold as second hand, but in my opinion it was not saleable. It is VERY badly worn, has a torn page that is more torn than not torn and has a page missing from the back ( it has been cut out) It is also very dirty. It is so bad that it is not even worth giving to a charity shop.

Disappointed
Disappointed, expected nearly new but turned out to be ex library, stickers on it and dog eared, probably won’t give it to child after all!

This is a brilliant book for children
This is a brilliant book for children, our original copy got wet in an accident and even though the children are no longer children we just had to replace it.

Reading and re-reading
This has been the biggest hit with all children from five to three to one. An absolute winner. Will be buying more copies.

Stands the tests of time, distance, and repetition
This is a wonderful book.It presents a series of scenes - jungle, savannah, polar regions, bush, farm, ocean, prehistory - with a range of charmingly and skilfully drawn animals. Some are more familiar than others, and unless you're David Attenborough you probably won't know all of them, but that makes it more interesting, and there's a key at the back if you don't yet know your quoll from your possum. I have two, now adult, children who grew up in Australia, where this book is now an acknowledged classic; and another, not yet at primary school, growing up in Kent; all of them have loved it. Be warned that as with all popular books you may be asked to look at it many, many times. But with this one, that is not too much of an ordeal.(NB the edition referred to is the full size one)
