An elegant / affordable solution
These temperature controllers are perfect, work very well, I will buy more. I love it when something is so well designed, is affordable and approachable. I like (preferred) the layout and simplicity of the face and controls and the case is aesthetically clean and sensible. Dialing in the settings, has been easy, fairly intuitive.I wanted / needed a temperature control in the completion of several audio (power amplifier) projects. I am using the slowest speed fans, 1) foremost needed a silent fan system 2) positioned for linear dissipation across the 9x12" heat sink... turns out, the layout is still "too efficient" and cools below my target of a 3) consistent 95 to 100 degrees... **This may apply to no-one... My project a 500 watt class A/B MOS FET design, very liner with with extended bandwidth... [I believe] temperatures across the +/- transistor pairs is (or has become) so apparent through extended evaluation.Bottom line, the control from the XH-W3001 [temperature influence] made a discernible difference in the performance of my amps. A helpful tool in modeling amplifier output stage operational temperature ranges.

Work great but not waterproof
Instalation and use is very straightforward, checked it against a temp gun and was very accurate, however after a little water was dripped on the first one within and hour it quit functioning. The second one I sealed the seams with silicone and all is good and working great in my application.

It works to turn little fans on.
We have honey bees and they can get pretty hot in the summer. So, we set fans up with this little thermostat to help keep them cool. It works.

no way to calibrate the temp sensor
if you cannot calibrate the temp sensor...what is the use? no instructions, no data from the maker, and no way to calibrate the actual sensor.... setting temps is easy, making the temp sensor match reality is a non existent function. not being able to calibrate (or not including instructions on how to calibrate makes it worthless... intodays times the ability to calibrate a sensor of any type is essential, and the inability or the lack of instruction to do so makes this item worthless. My advice want to sell to the world? include an instruction manual of some sort.... even chineese would be preferred to nothing which is what is included.

Device works to perfection, but only in Celcius
As stated in the review, the device works flawlessly. I use it to vent a battery box for an overlanding solar array. But only in Celcius? Americans don't do Celcius. Surely a population of 341 million people who only understands and deals with Fahrenheit is a big enough market to produce these with Fahrenheit capability.

Great device, once you figure out how to calibrate it
I'm part of a volunteer water quality monitoring organization that measure water quality multiple times per year at local streams around my state. One of the things we do is take a water sample and culture it to test for E. coli. The samples need to be incubated for 24 hours. To make it easier for volunteers to do the testing without having to drive to a lab with an incubator, we wanted to find an inexpensive DIY solution. This temperature controller with a power source, heat mat, and computer fan inside a Styrofoam cooler worked quite well.In my prototype I checked the temperature readout vs several trusted thermometers and found that it was waaay off (more than 3 degrees C) and there were no instructions on how to calibrate it or if it was even possible to calibrate it. I found a YouTube video by searching "XH-3001 Calibration" and foudn that it's really simple to do. Once calibrated, it works perfectly for what we need. Thanks to the other reviewer who left the tip about sealing the back with silicone to make it more water resistant!

Very Brief Instructions Included
It took a little bit to figure out the operating instructions printed on the BACK side of the product. You can’t read instructions once mounted. Note that a short press of the up or down buttons will display the start and stop temperature. A longer press of either button will cause that setpoint display to flash. After flash begins, lift your finger off the button then press either up or down button while display is still flashing to change that start or stop setpoint. Also note that the controlled output wiring is not a contact closure, it is 12 VDC on or off, rated 120 watts (wow! That’s 10 amps! Really? On these light gauge wires?)Other than those two surprises, it works!

well worth the price
compared to others i like this one the most because of the high amp capacity and simple wiring compared to others. easy instructions just push the up button for 3 seconds to set the high and push the lower button for 3 seconds to set the low, the only downside is i wish it had terminals to screw into instead of the leads coming out, but you can probably just solder on a set of terminals where the wires are soldered to the board.
