If you want to make "the real deal" Szechuan cold sesame noodles...
I did have them covered in my authentic home made sesame peanut sauce, but the texture seemed right, very restaurant like I'd say. I'm not a food expert though, lol. Worked for me. I live in a major metropolitan area, probably the largest in the country, and I literally could not find this type of noodle with egg in it and I was using this gourmet chef recipe from online, Andrew Zimmeran, I think? And he called for Chinese egg noodles, even Whole Foods by me didn't have it. Amazon to the rescue. But now that I've made it, I don't know if I would do it again. There was a lot of ingredients in the sauce and it is more of an appetizer and I just ate so much of it I think I can wait a long time. Just the Chinese restaurants by me just don't know how to make this.

Not flimsy, white noodles, good tasting, a bit pricey though.
Have been looking for Chinese noodles and these are the best I have found. They don't look like they will cook up right but they are great in my opinion. I do not see why they call them egg noodles since there is "no" yellow at all so that's strange, but I wasn't looking for egg noodles anyway, but lo mein. This is the closest I have gotten. Betty Crocker's seemed like broken spaghetti, not this one. Bigger than ramen but stronger. These are not cheap. I think they will last only two meals.

Spoiled noodles!
Cooking these noodles there was something wrong with them. The smell was awful, taste was off and something was not right. Tossed them. Maybe an old batch or I had them too long. Will never purchase again.

The BEST you will find
We grew up eating these wonderful noodles (with just chicken broth and soysauce) as a quick meal, all during my childhood here in the Midwest. But then they became very hard to find. Then impossible to find. I was thrilled to see them available on Amazon and I order regularly.Cook noodles in plenty of water until just tender. Do not over cook. Rinse well. Heat chicken broth - add noodles and serve with chopped scallions and soy sauce. YUM.

Not what I expected
I had been trying to find the type of noodle the Chinese restaurants use in their low mein dishes. Usually I use linguine as a good substitute but I wanted the real thing if I could find it. I bought this with high expectations of meeting that requirement and was willing to pay the $9 for it, even though it was only a 1lb package - should have stuck with the linguine at 1/4 of the price, as this product didn't even fair up to the linguine in my opinion so I tossed the rest of it away. Also, I thought all noodle products with egg in it looked more yellow - this looked just like spaghetti, only flatter.

Too much money
I had desperately tried to find these noodles and finally resorted to buying these. They are great noodles, but to pay $10 for this pack is a rip off. When I finally found them in the store, they were $3

When fresh isn't available . .
My local supermarket has fresh Chinese Egg Noodles occasionally. However, replenishment of depleted supply is usually very slow. This brand of the same kind of noodles fills the requirement very nicely. Only about five minuets to cook. i use them exclusively for my Roast Pork Lo Mein. This is an excellent product and I keep a few packages on hand when the fresh isn't available.

chinese egg noodles
I have loved these noodles for 50 years, but they have suddenly disappeared from local stores. it is crazy for me to be ordering these from Amazon - the factory is in Seattle and I live 50 miles away, but none of the local stores handle this anymore.
