USA Run Capacitor 45+5 UF 45/5 MFD 370 VAC / 440 VAC 2 Inch Round Heavy Duty

Easy to install. Now I don’t have to wait 2 weeks to get an AC repair man over to my house. I YouTube’d how to do it, took the proper precautions; such as discharging the old and new unit, removing the circuit handle at the condenser unit first. Remove one wire at a time and add it to the new unit to make sure everything goes as it should. Took me about 10 minutes from unscrewing the panel to closing up and turning on the unit at the thermostat.

Ordered and installed in October 2017 and the part has already failed. It does come with a 5 year warranty but I paid extra for this model hoping it would last. I can buy two cheap replacements for less than the price of this capacitor. Running for only 2.5 years is not impressive. The 5 year warranty gets it the second star.

The capacitor does not work with my 3-year old Carrier AC which has the capacitor specificity of 45+5 UF 370 VAC. This one is supposed to be compatible with 370/440 VAC, but apparently not. Too bad I waited more than 30 days to find out the problem (my manufacture capacitor reached its lifespan right at this moment).
