This is not a platform bed. The gap between the slats is 8". Standard platform bed has a 2.5" gap. You will either need a box spring or need to place something else underneath the mattress in order to provide the proper support to you and the mattress. Not only that, the frame came with scratches and scratches easily. Just a substandard product that is not what it is advertised nor is it worth anywhere near the money they are asking for it. Save your money, look elsewhere.

Very easy to assemble!

i was in the market for a couple of twin beds for my grand kids that are very rough and tumble ,so i decided that this would be perfect. the metal frame is sturdy and has a decent weight to it. they should not be able to break this bed frame easily. (i hope anyway) i believe that they will be able to get lots of use out of this. it is tall enough to be able to store some of their toys or blankets under the bed, so it is very helpful with storage.

The bed was very easy to assemble. It took about 20 minutes to installed. Very lightweight but it looks sturdy enough. Great buy!!
