I am looking for a flush lock with key for a PVC sliding door 1 5/8" thick?

This lock comes from a Milgard door, please reach out to Milgard for further assistance as these parts are exclusive to them.

My door locking mechanism work just fine, however, there is a key for the outside portion that I do not have. Are the key portions universal?

How deep does the latch plate need to be to allow the lock to open without striking the door frame? I have 0.460" deep latch plates.

Dose t come with a handle. I used the one that was already on the door. You should be able to easily find a replacement handle.
