In my opinion regular water changes are the #1 thing you can do to keep your fresh water aquarium fish happy and healthy. API has been around forever and I trust their products even more than seachem personally. I have always used api aqua essential to de chlorinate my water and to handle any ammonia spikes that might have occurred. Trusted product by a trusted company.

This is the best formula that there is for an aquarium. As a cichlid owner it becomes very hard to keep the chemicals in your tank at a safe range and this fixes all your problems in your tank. This specific cichlid tank in the picture holds 2 large cichlids that both have hole in the head disease and that makes it much harder to obtain very good water conditions so that the disease doesn't progress further and this helps keep everything at the clean and safe levels they should be at. I believe if you have an aquarium you need a bottle of this solution because it fixes everything. I also recommend the other bottle of api water conditioner in the photo because i dont like using the aqua essential too often and water changes are very often for this tank but also works great in all my other tanks and keeps my fish healthy and active. Very useful for cichlids because they dirty their water very easily. #1 aquarium conditioner

Excellent additive; use this each time I do a water change (add it to the pitcher I use to refill and pour it into the tank behind the filter media.) Have never had issues with my fish when using this, unlike some other additives I have used in the past. It is concentrated, so lasted about 3 months with weekly 10-25% water changes in a 20 gallon high tank.

I don’t know a lot about turtle care. It’s been a steep learning curve. However, I can see and smell the difference in water quality with this product. We have it on Amazon Subscribe & Save so we don’t run out. Turtle approved!
