Used on canoe and worked great!
It’s a bit of a messy job and a half but these skid plates did the job.. as intended. These are less expensive than many places you’ll find them and exactly the same thing. Difficult to be much different! Lol. Worked great!

Quality product
We used the felt and G-flex epoxy to make repairs on an old canoe. The combination did the job! The felt and epoxy combine to make a really solid repair.

I'll know better after my first canoe trip
Application was "sticky" but manageable. End product appears to be durable. I'll know better after my first canoe trip.

NOT easy to apply
I put these on a northstar canoe (Kevlar equivalent) with gel-coat. I used g-flex epoxy as some recommended and added pigment (darker green) to the epoxy so they would stand out a little less. It was NOT easy to work the epoxy into the kevlar skid pad mats and get on smoothly. It came out well, but seemed way harder than I would have expected to get to setup well and on very smoothly. I rolled it when part cured and that helped a lot. The texture of the skid pad is a bit fuzzy. Functionally speaking, it performs super well and protects the canoe. But I was wanting it to sit more flat for less perturbation of the water flow. The end result was not bad, but not as good as I hoped for with careful effort. I did not sand or recoat.

very good product just the right size for a canoe
I used this to protect the bottom of my canoe after fixing to small holes that were made from the canoe being dragged across the ground, they fit just right they need a lot of epoxy to saturate them but I expected this, so it wasn't a problem this is very good product I am very pleased with the end result

Awesome outcome/easier than expected
There are several good reviews. I placed on my canoe on bow and stern. I also had damage that I wanted to try reinforcing. So I cut (small) equal parts from both strips and applied to all three areas.I waited for a 70 degree day (possibly not critical), followed steps from YouTube (there are several) and used GFlex ( 1 to 1 ratio). The outcome was spot on.Required - patience, brush, gloves. Brush both sides liberally, apply to areas that have been sanded. Apply extra epoxy once in the area you want and then shape with hands.I was very pleased with results.
