Very decent tea!
When I received this tea, I was shocked at how large the bag was! I'm used to dehydrated loose leaf teas being very compact. Anyway, I am 91% happy with this purchase. The tea is not too weak in flavor or in caffeine. The color is a deep red-amber. I can get two brews out of a fairly small number of the leaves. I like the flavor. I has no sweetness that I can detect. The strongest taste is a toasted flavor. It's not bitter or unpleasant. I don't personally like black tea (I classify oolong as red tea.), and I would say this tastes a little closer to black tea than I would prefer, but not enough to make me regret buying it. It serves my purposes, and I would probably buy it again.

Summer Rose Oolong Tea is a tea that you can drink all day
I was introduced to the Rose Oolong flavor at a local Japanese Ramen restaurant. It absolutely captivated me! So I went on a hunt to find this tea so I can enjoy it at home also. This is close, but distinctly different than that tea I had that day. I know that is pretty irrelevant to a review. I needed to just make sure you all know that I was hunting for the perfect cup of tea, and this is pretty darn close! It has a stronger flavor than I was expecting, but that is it, this tea has SO much flavor! Some of the teas I have tried in my search are weak or they just taste bitter and harsh. This tea is so far removed from that. It is soft, flavorful and it does not leave a harsh aftertaste. I can drink this all day, and it invigorates me with every sip! The scent is soothing and very pleasant, and brings a smile to my face every time I open the cabinet I keep it in. While this is not the tea I drank in that restaurant, I am so happy I found it and can see myself drinking this every day for years to come!

MY NEW FAVORITE OOLONG TEA
I discovered this tea brand about six months ago. I had been a huge fan of Mighty Leaf for over 15 years, but when the company was bought out by Peet's Coffee, it discontinued some of the teas I liked, and the prices went up. So I was looking for a new brand of loose leaf tea in pound packages. I tried several brands over the last 6-12 months, and I have discovered that Positively Tea has what I consider the best organic loose leaf teas by the pound for the best price. I fresh brew tea every morning in my Breville electric tea pot, have a couple of cups of hot tea in the morning and then drink the rest later in the day as iced tea. I keep a container of brewed teas in my refrigerator and add to it daily. I have found that you can brew oolong tea twice, and so I do this every few days to keep my supply up. The "Organic Orange Blossom Special Oolong Tea" is my favorite for this. I also buy and use several Positively Tea products such as "Organic Jasmine Green Tea" and "Earl Grey De La Creme Black Tea." When all these are mixed together in my "refrigerator tea," it really makes for a tasty brew for iced tea, and I enjoy the variety in the mornings! Finally, the price for these quality, organic teas is very economical - sometimes half the price of Mighty Leaf! Therefore, I highly and without reservation recommend Positively Tea Company for any customer who values great loose leaf teas at a very reasonable price!

This is a very nice tea
This tea has a good flavor and aroma, although is a little less flavorful than the ti kwan yin I received as a gift from my friend from China. I do like that this is organic. The directions on the package call for using 1-2 Tbsp. of the tea. Maybe that is for a whole pot of tea because it is way too much for one cup! I use 1 heaping teaspoon for my 16 oz. teapot for my preferred taste.

Summer Rose: does not skimp on the roses!
I got the 1lb bag of the summer rose oolong tea, and I was surprised! I kind if expected this to really have a few roses per bag, like enough for maybe a couple buds per pot or something. This was, as you can see, not the case. It isn't a particularly powerful rose flavor, closer to a hint of it, but it is still rather good.My one warning for people who get this tea is that it will expand A LOT once you steep it. I put in a Tbsp into a smaller pot, and when the tea had fully saturated in water it was almost spilling out if the basket!I highly recommend this if you like oolong tea and slightly floral flavors.

Very fresh, good flavor, very refreshing, mixes well with other flavors
While I mostly use it as a base for mixing other teas, it's also a great, refreshing tea on its own. It's got a slightly grassy flavor and a bit of sweetener brightens it and brings it out.Hibiscus flowers go very well with this. I use about a one hibiscus to four yerba mate ratio, which makes the hibiscus dominant, but for an equal mix, I go as low as one to ten, since hibiscus is so assertive. This makes for a great summer tea. For a citrus flavor, any kind of citrus rind works well. If the rind is fresh, I just use three or four goes with a microplane over each cup.For more of a fall tea, I make it with about a seven mate to one dried apple bits or sprinkle a pinch of dried rosemary leaves for each cup.

Normally buy from mountain rose but this works too
I switched from coffee to oolong about a year or so ago. I normally buy from mountain rose herbs but didn't want to wait and pay for shipping this last time so I tried this one and it was good. I'll probably buy this brand unless I'm already buying other herbs with mountain rose. Happy with the purchase.
