I really liked this book. It's about a boy who lives in a broom cupboard at his uncle's house and who hilariously ends up at a wizard-school!.. you can't make this up. It's full of weird terms and magical jargon which makes it sometimes hard to read. Yet it has a nice plot. But i'm not going to spoil more of the story here - read it yourself.They should make a movie about this! In fact, the story lends itself very well for a sequel.

Mesmo comprando no dia 4 de julho e recebendo só dia 30 (MEU DEUS), o livro chegou em perfeito estado, sem amassados, sem dobras. O livro é super bonito e vem com uma jacket sensacional (aquela capinha que envolve o livro e que dá pra tirar). A capa é mais bonita ainda; a lombada é de um tecido show e o restante da capa é texturizado em losangos. Muito top esse livro, pena que levou uma eternidade pra chegar, primeira vez que a entrega foi uma porcaria pela Amazon. Mas enfim, o livro está aqui em perfeito estado.

Eu gosto muito dessas história, tem um valor sentimental imensurável para mim. Por isso decidi comprar na Língua original e montar a coleção. Me decepcionei com essa edição da scholastic em paperback, Não vale o preço. O que me frusta é que a Amazon não sinalizou em nenhum lugar que seria esse material. O livro é extremamente frágil, capa e folhas finíssimas de um material que parece reciclável da pior qualidade. Eu gostaria que tivesse essa descrição quando comprei, eu queria tanto o livro com essa arte na capa e por isso acabei comprando os outros da série para ter a coleção. Pena que não dá para cancelar os outros, se está lendo isso, deixo o aviso: não compre essa edição. Ela é cara e o material do livro não vale a pena.

As a teenager growing up around the same age as Harry Potter did in the films (when each of them came out), I found the stories both in the films and books (once I got round to reading them) highly imaginative, relatable in many ways and compelling reading. The books of course have a great deal more story and background information than the films could ever include, which makes the books even more enjoyable to read again and again. Like the characters, the books mature over the series and change from being predominantly for children to young adults; but the popularity of these books have shown how they can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

I was really looking forward to listening to the cassette tapes of the first book .... and I’ll say I was not disappointed. These were really cool to listen 🎧 to. I enjoyed them so much I also bought the Chamber of Secrets, however it is hard to get a hold of any others but I will still be searching.
