This is a comprehensive guide to the materials on the CCMC exam. BUT EVEN BETTER - it outlines how to be a case manager. It’s like a job manual also! The tests at the end of the chapters really sum up the domains. There’s a practice exam in the back with an answer guide and rationales. It really breaks down concepts so they can be understood. The headings are great! I went through mine several times and marked it up with highlighters and notes in the margins. If you plan to sit for the exam, this book is invaluable. And if you use it, also join the Facebook group. It’s run by amazing case managers, including the author. There are live trainings and videos, links, questions, and side chats. I’m so grateful I stumbled upon this outstanding community centered around this one succinct yet thorough book.

Definitely recommend for a great study book for CCM certification. Now just have to study & test.

Really exceptional resource and tool with workbook included for those wanting to pass the certified case manager exam. The book is divided into sections same as the exam will be, and gives very user-friendly, reader, friendly information specific to the test there are also bonuses included in the book, and the companion workbook can be downloaded as well as the book containing a practice test with the answer key. There are many products available to you, but this is the product in my opinion that is the most essential. Good luck on the test.

I used 2 books while studying for the CCM exam this one and another my work provided (A Case Managers Study Guide). I do have to say that everything from this book was on the exam. I do more Utilization Review than anything so I needed another book to break things down for me. CCM Certification Made Easy was very clear and to the point but I liked having the second book that was a bit deeper in the information since I was unfamiliar with lots of things like Workers Comp, quality, ACA, ACO, legal/laws. I also purchased the Datachem questions and found them to be pretty helpful-I did the study mode on Datachem which allows you to do only questions you haven't seen before (the test mode would sometimes repeat questions you have seen which I did not like). I studied for 2 months, 6 days a week for 2 hours a time and did about 800 questions from Datachem. I know I studied too long, but I wanted to make sure I passed. There was a lot of questions on the exam on quality, workers comp and ACA. I would recommend this book to others but I would also recommend the test questions along with another book that goes more in depth unless you have a lot of case manager experience. The only thing I wish was different in this book, is I wish the author would include practice questions even if it's only 100 questions at the end of the book.

This is “the” book. Don’t waste time and money on the others. I bought several, but should have just gotten this one only!
